As a long-time One Piece enthusiast and avid gamer, I am thoroughly intrigued by the potential integration of Zoro’s newfound powers into the One Piece video game franchise. The Wano arc has been nothing short of breathtaking, with Zoro’s evolution as a character taking center stage. His mastery of Enma and the King of Hell Three Sword Style have added new layers to his iconic fighting style.
As the second-in-command to the future Pirate King, Roronoa Zoro, serves not just as first mate for the Straw Hat pirates, but also ranks among the most formidable pirates traversing the Grand Line in One Piece. The enduring nature of this popular series has underscored the importance of a strong first mate. Consequently, it comes as no shock that Zoro’s abilities have been significantly boosted throughout his journey in One Piece, and the Wano arc has served to highlight this even further.
During the Wano arc, Zoro demonstrated his proficiency with previously hidden abilities he developed during this storyline. Moreover, the arc also unveiled fresh powers for his arsenal that may significantly impact the Straw Hat crew’s mission to discover the One Piece. With the conclusion of the Wano arc, these newly acquired powers could potentially be incorporated into a future version of the One Piece game.

Zoro and the Conqueror’s Haki
In the popular series “One Piece,” characters like Luffy, Shanks, and Yamato have displayed a powerful ability known as Conqueror’s Haki, or Supreme King Haki. Essentially, this form of Haki lets users overpower their opponents through sheer will. Interestingly, people who can use Conqueror’s Haki are naturally gifted, with only one in a million individuals having this power. Many users may not even realize they possess it, and its strength cannot be deliberately enhanced; instead, users can amplify their will by growing stronger physically. Age does not play a role in the manifestation of Conqueror’s Haki.
Initially, we see Zoro utilizing his Conquerer’s Haki in a combat with Kaidou in the manga. In this battle, he introduces a fresh maneuver within his three-sword style called Ashura Bakkei: Moja no Tawamure, which leaves an impression on even Kaidou, who acknowledges Zoro’s possession of Conquerer’s Haki. Later, Zoro demonstrates the use of this ability in other fights, such as against King. While incorporating Haki into a video game might pose challenges due to its complex nature, fan-made Roblox games have shown that it can be made functional. Future developers should consider making Zoro a playable character who can effectively employ this skill.
Enma Joins Wado and Kietsu
Without a doubt, one of the most distinctive features of Zoro’s character is his unique three-sword fighting style. This signature trait has grown significantly throughout the series, with the addition of Zoro’s nine-sword style being just one example. However, during his time in Wano Country, Zoro developed the three-sword style even further and acquired a new powerful sword to complement Wado Ichimonji and Sandai Kietsu.
Among the 21 distinguished Meitas, Zoro obtained the famous sword Enma, previously used by the legendary samurai known as Kozuki Oden. His daughter Hiyori bestowed it upon him. The blade is said to slice all the way to the depths of hell, a fitting weapon for the pirate who styles himself as the king of his domain. It was Oden who inflicted upon Kaido the massive X-shaped scar that marred his body.
Beyond just Conqueror’s Haki, Zoro also possesses Armament Haki, famously known as “Ryuo” in Wano. The sword Enma, when wielded, releases an overabundance of its user’s Armament Haki, causing it to cut through more than intended. This unique characteristic has given Enma a fearsome reputation as a nearly uncontrollable and difficult-to-master weapon. In fact, during Zoro’s initial test with the sword, he inadvertently sliced off a cliffside instead of his intended target, a tree. Although Zoro hasn’t yet fully mastered Enma, throughout the arc, he has demonstrated growing precision and control over the blade, even managing to wound Kaido while he was in his dragon form.
Including Enma as a premium equipment in a One Piece game might significantly boost a player’s abilities against opponents. While Zoro is traditionally associated with Enma in One Piece, permitting other characters to use it could add an intriguing dynamic, especially when combined with other Straw Hat members like Brook, the crew’s second swordsman, or Sanji, who has displayed sword-fighting skills.
Zoro’s Three Sword Style Reflects His Title as “King of Hell”
Using Enma as one of his three swords significantly upgraded Zoro’s distinctive Triple Sword Style. This transformation occurred due to the impact Enma had on his Armament Hiki. By enabling Enma to extract as much Haki from him as possible, Zoro imbued all of his blades with both his Armament Haki and his Conqueror’s Haki. This advanced version was subsequently known as the King of Hell Three Sword Style.
Despite being able to hold the King of Hell Three Sword Style for a short duration, it delivers an immense force. However, prolonging the use of this style could lead to Zoro’s demise due to excessive Haki consumption. Remarkably, Zoro has blended one of his other techniques, Foxfire style, into this new style. This is evident in his ability to slice through flames resembling molten lava.
In the fashion of the Demon King, Zoro’s trio of swords glow with the ominous black lightning of Conqueror’s Haki and emit a misty green aura. This enhanced version of the three-sword style serves to signal potential peril for any adversary who dares confront the Demon King. Although the method may vary, it continues to incorporate elements of Zoro’s iconic three-sword style by using names that evoke memories of some of his original moves. For instance, Rengoku Oni Giri is a reinterpretation of Zoro’s traditional Oni Giri stance. In this revised position, Zoro utilizes both types of Haki to convert the close-range slashing technique into a long-range flying slash without advancing towards his opponent as the original technique demands.
Introducing the King of Hell style in future installments of the One Piece video game series could be achieved by building upon the foundations of the original three sword style. The One Piece video game franchise encompasses a variety of titles such as One Piece: Grand Battle!, One Piece: Unlimited, and One Piece: Pirate Warriors. Given this, it’s plausible that an upcoming game might feature Zoro utilizing the King of Hell technique. However, these games should also introduce power-ups not yet seen in video games, like Enma and Zoro’s Conqueror’s Haki.
In the Wano arc, Zoro might not have gotten the most famous power-up, but his newly acquired abilities have significantly brought him nearer to claiming the title of the World’s Greatest Swordsman. Nevertheless, there’s plenty more training for Zoro if he aspires to become One Piece’s greatest swordsman. Maybe he will discover a couple of new swords in upcoming arcs.
