Players exploring the Garden Patch area in Grounded 2: The Toxic Tangle are facing a tough new challenge called ‘Tang’ Corrosion. This harmful effect can be difficult to remove, and it’s stopping some players from fully exploring the new areas of Brookhollow Park.
This guide will teach you how to handle areas affected by Tang Corrosion in the Garden Biome. You’ll learn how to protect yourself from Tang, and even how to use its power to defeat enemies in the Garden Biome.
How to Clear Tang Corrosion Puddles in Grounded 2 The Toxic Tangle

In the new Toxic Tangle DLC for Grounded 2, players will encounter a dangerous new effect called Sour Tang Corrosion. It appears as a fizzling green goo found throughout the garden, especially in important locations like Ominent Labs.
As you can see in the images, this isn’t just a visual addition – it’s a new obstacle players need to overcome. You can deal with it in three ways: avoid it altogether, clear it away, or build up your defenses to withstand it.
In Grounded, players can remove the Tang Corrosion puddles using the new Ladybug Buggy. You get the buggy by finding the Ladybug Nest and then hatching a Ladybug Egg in the Hatchery.
The Ladybugg Bugie features a built-in water cannon perfect for getting rid of pesky insects like potato beetles and earwigs. You can also use the cannon to clean up Sour Tang puddles.
To get rid of the puddle, simply aim and fire the cannon at it. Keep in mind that the Ladybug Buggy’s turret only has 120 shots before needing to be recharged, and it recharges by shooting at water puddles. Don’t use up all the water too quickly!
How to Deal with Tang Buildup in Grounded 2
Players can become more resistant to Sour Tang by getting the Sour Sensation mutation. Keep in mind you can only have a certain number of mutations active at once, though Passive Mutations are always working. The Potato Beetle armor set also offers protection against Tang buildup with its Tangy Purification ability.
Players can use the Chrysalys Bandage, crafted from Chrysalys leather and Cactus Petal, to both remove Tang Buildup and restore their health.
