Embark Studios has confirmed that recent server issues in ARC Raiders are due to DDoS attacks.
Ever since the Headwinds update dropped, things have been a little rough. A lot of us are noticing a huge slowdown when we’re trying to loot, which is super frustrating. Plus, some players, myself included, have been experiencing crashes and getting stuck, unable to even move! But it sounds like the developers have finally figured out what’s causing all the server problems, so hopefully, things will be fixed soon.
ARC Raiders Hit with DDoS Attacks, Hotfix Arriving Later Today
Embark Studios has identified the cause of recent server issues in ARC Raiders and THE FINAL: coordinated DDoS attacks. The team first noticed the problems and announced they were investigating on their official Discord server. Now, they’ve confirmed the attacks are ongoing, and their team is working to resolve them.
The development team announced they’re releasing a quick fix later today to resolve issues caused by the recent Headwinds update. They report that progress on the fix is going well. You can find the complete announcement below.
Hi Raiders, both ARC Raiders and THE FINALS are currently experiencing ongoing DDoS attacks. Our team is working hard to resolve the issue and we’re making good progress, but the attacks haven’t stopped yet.
The team is preparing a quick fix to address some problems and unexpected changes that appeared in yesterday’s update. We expect to release it later today.
We’ll update you all on progress as we have more information to share!
