With three amazing episodes already released, it’s clear that Sentenced To Be A Hero is one of the best anime of Winter 2026. Each episode has been exceptionally well-made, demonstrating Studio Kai’s commitment to creating a series fans will love.

The anime’s third episode recently aired, showing Xylo Forbartz and his team rescuing the trapped miners—and the monsters with them. After the last episode’s dramatic ending, viewers were excited to see how Xylo and his allies would handle the situation.

Norgalle Was The MVP Of Episode 3

Xylo and Norgalle knew they were in danger and quickly sprang into action. Norgalle, skilled with magical seals, transformed the miners’ tools into weapons effective against the monsters. Soon after, the monsters emerged and began attacking everyone nearby. While Xylo and Tatsuya fought the hardest, Norgalle did everything he could to help.

I watched as they took down wave after wave of monsters, but even more terrifying creatures just kept appearing. Then, Demon Lord Lotus showed up and started attacking both the miners and the heroes. Things were looking grim – the heroes were exhausted – but thankfully, Teoritta arrived just in time. Her incredible power cleared out a lot of enemies, giving everyone a much-needed break. Lotus also let out this awful, piercing shriek that gave the heroes terrible tinnitus, and it seemed to completely control the miners, making them shamble towards the demon. Luckily, Tatsuya didn’t seem affected by the sound, so Xylo decided to help him from a distance. Tatsuya did manage to destroy the body, but it quickly became clear that it was just a copy.

Norgalle Had To Make A Big Sacrifice

Norgalle, realizing the danger, launched a huge blast of fire at the Demon Lord’s limbs. Unfortunately, his leg became trapped, leaving him dangling upside down. It seemed like certain doom for the heroes and miners, but Norgalle didn’t give up. Discovering the Demon Lord’s true body was directly beneath him, he desperately fought to free his trapped leg. Once free, he swiftly cut through the Demon Lord’s core, rescuing everyone.

The fourth episode of “Sentenced To Be A Hero,” titled “Standby Order: Muurid Fortress,” will premiere on January 29th, 2026. Following their recent win, the heroes won’t have much downtime, and the story seems likely to take them to Muurid Fortress. The episode is expected to be fast-paced and action-packed, consistent with the anime’s style.

The fourth episode of “Sentenced To Be A Hero” will likely see Xylo and Teoritta traveling to defend the Muurid Fortress within the kingdom. Norgalle, injured in his battle with the Demon Lord and having lost his leg, won’t be joining them. Instead, Venetim Leopool will accompany Xylo on this mission. Kivia is a character to watch. She’s shown she’s different from the leaders, stepping in to protect the heroes when a priest threatened to punish them – proving she has strong morals. After seeing Xylo rescue the miners and bring them home, Kivia might start to see him in a new light. If she does, she could be the key to helping Xylo prove his innocence and expose the conspiracy against him.
