Sony has announced the free games PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers will receive in February 2026. Each month, PlayStation Plus offers a new selection of games at no extra cost. While the quality and popularity of these free games can change, subscribers generally feel the service provides good value throughout the year.
As of today, PlayStation Plus members can still download three free games from January 2026: Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. These games will be available until February 2nd. Need for Speed Unbound is a visually unique racing game, and Epic Mickey: Rebrushed is a remastered version of the classic Mickey Mouse platformer. Core Keeper is a cooperative survival game similar to Minecraft and Stardew Valley, and it received mostly positive feedback when it was first released. However, the January 2026 PS Plus games generally weren’t very popular, so it will be interesting to see what subscribers think of the February games.
February 2026’s free PlayStation Plus games have been revealed: Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. PlayStation Plus subscribers are getting an extra treat this month, as the lineup usually includes only three games! You can download these four games starting Tuesday, February 3rd, and they’ll be available until the March 2026 games are released.

If you haven’t played it before, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is a flight combat simulator that came out in 2019. It received generally good reviews when it launched, though it’s a game for a fairly specific audience. What’s notable about Ace Combat 7 being offered as part of the PS Plus Essential tier is that it’s only available for PS4 – it was never updated for the PS5. Sony previously announced they would stop guaranteeing free PS4 games on PS Plus in 2026, but PS4 players have continued to receive them without issue.
PlayStation 4 owners can also add Subnautica: Below Zero and Ultros to their game collections, as both are available natively on PS4. Subnautica: Below Zero is a survival game where you explore the icy oceans of an alien planet. While it didn’t receive quite the same praise as the original Subnautica, it’s still a solid choice for survival game fans. Ultros is a sci-fi Metroidvania game that was similarly well-received as Ace Combat 7 and Subnautica: Below Zero, and should be enjoyable for players who like the genre.
The boxing game Undisputed is the main attraction for February 2026’s free PlayStation Plus games. While it received mixed reviews, Undisputed has a loyal following, and adding it to the PS Plus lineup is expected to significantly increase the number of players enjoying the game next month.
