The Combat Recon quest was added to ARC Raiders with the Headwinds update. Shani asks players to defeat a Bombardier and retrieve a Spotter Relay for her. First, you’ll need to find three good cover locations in Buried City before taking on the Bombardier. This guide will quickly walk you through completing the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders.

How to Scope Out Cover Spot in Buses Near Marano Park in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

To finish the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders, head to the Buried City map. Begin by finding the best cover location near the buses in Marano Park. Since Marano Park is in the center of the map, it’s easy to get to no matter where you start.

Walk to the far west side of the park, and you’ll see two old buses next to the building. Get near them and follow the on-screen instructions to check out the hiding place in Marano Park.

How to Scope Out Cover Spot in Parking Garage Staircases in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

For the next step in the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders, head to the Parking Garage located just east of Marano Park. It’s nearby!

Okay, so the Parking Garage has a bunch of different things going on. You start on the first level, and the quickest way to get going is to just head straight for that spiral ramp in the middle and go up to level 2. That’s where the action really starts!

On level 2 of the Parking Garage, drive through the parking spaces until you see stairs on your right. Take those stairs up to the top level of the garage.

How to Scope Out Cover Spot in the Attics Around Main Street in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

To finish checking the area, go to the Red Tower, which is shown on the map. You need to get to the hole in the wall on the second story.

When you approach the building with the hole, you’ll be able to check out the attic as a good hiding place close to Main Street. Doing so finishes the third step in the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders.

How to Get Spotter Relay in ARC Raiders (Combat Recon)

You can often find Bombardiers in the Buried City, which is a good place to locate Spotters. Specifically, check around Plaza Rosa and on top of the Parking Garage – you’ll likely pass these areas anyway while working on the main objectives.

Your aim is to create space between yourself and the Bombardier, and then shoot down the Spotters flying overhead. These Spotters will move away from the Bombardier and drift towards you. Once they’re close enough, you can use any weapon to destroy them and collect the Spotter Relay they carry.

You only need one Spotter Relay to finish the final quest goal, but destroying two Spotters is necessary to fully complete the quest. Once you return to Speranza after finishing everything, you’ll get the Radio Renegade Outfit Variant (Red), 5 Firecrackers, and a Fireworks Box as rewards for completing the Combat Recon quest in ARC Raiders.
