LEGO Has a Massive Set Planned for This Year’s Biggest Movie

The upcoming Marvel movie Avengers: Doomsday is expected to be a massive hit in 2026, and LEGO fans are already buzzing about potential new sets based on the film. Leaks suggest a large Avengers: Doomsday set is in development, along with several Spider-Man sets tied to Tom Holland’s new movie, Spider-Man: Brand New Day. LEGO and Marvel have a strong history of successful collaborations, and if the rumors are accurate, this next movie could be a blockbuster for both the box office and LEGO sales.

When Disney bought Marvel in 2009, fans were cautiously optimistic about what the company would do with the success of the first Iron Man movie. Almost no one could have foreseen the massive hit the Marvel Cinematic Universe would become, and how much Disney’s success in theaters would be tied to it. It made sense that Disney would partner with other major brands, and LEGO quickly became one of their most important collaborators. From a LEGO store at Disney Springs in Orlando to countless Marvel-themed LEGO sets, Disney and LEGO have created a hugely successful merchandising partnership. They plan to keep working together on future projects like Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Avengers: Doomsday LEGO Set and New LEGO Spider-Man Figure Coming in 2026

A reliable LEGO leaker, lego_minecraft_goat, claims LEGO is planning 10 new Marvel sets for release in 2026. At least three of these will be Spider-Man themed, and one large set will be based on the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie. Specifically, set number 76352 is rumored to tie into the movie and will likely cost around $110. There’s a lot of excitement about whether Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will appear, though some fans are hoping for a version based on the comic books. Another, even larger set – with 3,056 pieces and a price tag of around $370 – might also be Avengers: Doomsday related, potentially featuring a massive Doctor Doom build. Some fans worry that LEGO will only include the popular villain in its most expensive sets.

Rumors suggest several new Spider-Man LEGO sets are on the way. A larger Spider-Man figure with 813 pieces is expected to retail for $99.99. Two other sets, currently labeled 76349 and 76350, will likely contain 367 and 534 pieces respectively, and cost $59.99 and $89.99. These two sets are rumored to be based on the Spider-Man: Brand New Day storyline, while the larger figure could feature a variety of Spider-Man suit designs. Some LEGO fans have noted that Marvel sets, especially Spider-Man sets, tend to be expensive for the number of pieces they contain. However, despite the price concerns, the Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day sets are anticipated to be popular, so fans should watch for official announcements.
