GDKP Runs Are Still Banned in World of Warcraft, and Players Aren’t Happy

Despite many players disagreeing with the decision, buying raid spots with gold (GDKP) remains prohibited in World of Warcraft.

In World of Warcraft, GDKP (Gold Dragon Kill Points) raids let players bid gold on items dropped after defeating bosses. While the highest bidder gets the item, the total gold collected from everyone’s bids is shared among all the raiders.

World of Warcraft Players Want GDKP Unbanned

Blizzard recently clarified their rules on the anniversary realms. They confirmed that their policy on GDKP runs hasn’t changed in North America or Europe. While players can still trade in-game goods and services with each other, they are not allowing communities dedicated to ‘boosting’ other players for a fee.

Most comments on the post indicate the ban isn’t effective. One user wrote, “The ban on GDKP on Anniversary realms isn’t working, and it’s clear the economy is struggling. It hasn’t achieved the results you promised.”

Some players are very upset about the recent changes, with one person stating, “This is ridiculous. We need GDKP back! Anyone who cares about the game wants it, so please bring it back or people will stop playing!”

Blizzard does remain steadfast in their decision, however.
