WWE 2K26 Not Releasing On Last-Gen Consoles

WWE 2K26 is embracing the future! The latest game will only be available on current-generation consoles, meaning it won’t be released for older systems.

That means those only playing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are seemingly out of luck.

The ESRB Page Gives A Bit Away

The game’s website says it will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, which confirms earlier reports about its planned platforms.

TopMob previously mentioned that The Island mode was planned for release on PC this year. Considering it’s only available on the latest gaming consoles and PC, this now explains the reason why.

2K Sports hasn’t confirmed this yet, so it’s possible the game simply wasn’t listed for those platforms. However, with the game launching on March 13th, the information on the ESRB website is probably correct.

WWE 2K26 is shaping up to be a significant upgrade, with both new features and the return of popular match types. This year’s Showcase Mode will star current World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk. Players can also look forward to the Draft in Universe mode, a redesigned reversal system, and the ability to create intergender matches in MyFACTION, among other improvements.
