After you defeat Hero Holly in Code Vein 2’s Undead Forest, you’ll discover her fading bond, just like with other heroes in the game. Because the connection is weak, you’ll need to complete a series of steps to strengthen it. This guide provides a complete walkthrough for Holly’s Fading Bond, including tips to help you overcome the difficult bosses you’ll encounter in Code Vein 2.

How to Repair Holly’s Fading Bond (Holly Quest Guide) in Code Vein 2

Start by talking to Monica inside the Withered Greenhouse. She’ll let you know that pieces of Camillo are located in two places within Undead Forest. You can go to either location first, but let’s start with the Ruined Town. You may have already been there, but if not, you’ll find some chests containing weapons.

As you search for the person with Camillo’s remnant, you’ll encounter enemies. Overcome them, and you’ll trigger a brief cutscene featuring Camillo.

Head to the Sanatorium to find the second pathos. Once inside, walk straight ahead and turn left to go out the back door. You’ll encounter some enemies here, including a powerful elite enemy that possesses the second remnant. Defeat the elite to trigger a new memory sequence with Camillo. Also nearby, you can destroy a map jammer to fully reveal the Sanatorium’s layout on your map.

Once you have both pieces of the remnants, return to Holly’s bond at the Withered Greenhouse. This will transport you to a temporal rift. Inside, be sure to interact with the monument on the right. After that, go through the foggy gate to face the boss, Retainer of Idris. This boss has a lot of health, but you can defeat it faster by targeting the golden tentacles on its back.

Ugh, this boss is seriously frustrating! They keep grabbing me with those tentacles, and it’s a total pain. You really need to pay attention to that attack, or you’re going down!

After you defeat the boss, you’ll receive Idris’s Talon. Then, you can go through the newly opened door and interact with the monument inside, which will transport you back in time.

Quickly travel to the Sanatorium and turn left to speak with Holly. Once you’ve finished talking to her, take the elevator upstairs to investigate the source of the sound.

Follow Holly as she revisits places that remind her of her parents. You’ll eventually encounter enemies, and then fall through a hole that takes you to the Sanatorium Underground Facility. Explore the underground rooms to find your way back to the main building, and after watching a cutscene, you can go to the Memory Realm.

This area is quite expansive, so be careful where you walk to avoid falling. At the Inner Depths Mistle, you can level up and customize your weapon – it’s the last safe place before facing a tough boss. Once you’re ready, go through the fog gate to battle Camillo Asturias.

As a player, I’ve noticed the jump attack has a pretty noticeable delay. Because of that, don’t just mash the parry or dodge button right away – you’ll probably end up getting hit if you try! Timing is key, so wait for the actual attack to come out before reacting.

Okay, so after taking down that boss, I finally unlocked the “Family Man” trophy! Then a cutscene played, and I was back at the Sanatorium. The best part? I got the “Lost Camillo” Blood Code, which means I can finally have Holly join me as a partner in battle! Now, it’s time to head back to the present.

Once you’ve spoken with Monica, go to the Sanatorium to find the cocoon, which has moved there. This will unlock the “Life in Full Bloom” trophy/achievement. Go inside and talk to Camillo, then you can go back outside and free Holly.

Holly is a tough boss to fight, largely due to her powerful Gatling gun attack. She creates an icy area around herself, preventing you from getting close. The gunfire is also very hard to avoid. To survive, run away from the bullets and dodge at the last moment when they’re near.

Beating Hero Holly will finish her story and unlock the Hero Holly Blood Code for you. You’ll also earn the Warm Rays trophy or achievement.
