The “Bombing Run” quest was added to ARC Raiders with the Headwinds update. It continues the story from the “Combat Recon” quest. After finding good cover locations and Spotters, Shani asks you to destroy a Bombardier. Taking down a Bombardier and collecting its cells can be challenging, but this guide will show you a simple way to finish the quest.
How to Destroy a Bombardier in ARC Raiders (Bombing Run)
Okay, so if you did the Combat Recon quest, you probably already know where to find Bombardiers. But just in case you need a reminder, they usually show up near Plaza Rosa, Marano Park, and on top of the Parking Garage in the Buried City area of ARC Raiders. That’s where I’ve been having the most luck finding them!
Before you try to defeat a Bombardier, make sure you have the right gear. You can use whatever equipment you prefer, but here are some essential items that will help you win quickly.
- Anvil Revolver with Heavy Ammo (high ARC armor penetration)
- 3x Trailblazer Grenades (Can be bought from Apollo or crafted if you have its blueprint)
- 3x Smoke Grenades (Can also be crafted or bought from Apollo)
- A Wolfpack (Optional, just in case you need to quickly finish off a damaged Bombardier)
- A Raider Hatch Key (To make a quick escape after retrieving Bombardier Cells)
After gathering all the necessary gear, enter a Buried City raid and go to one of the locations mentioned earlier to find a Bombardier. Once you’ve located one, simply stay hidden from the Spotters and wait until it’s facing away from you.
Once the Bombardier’s back is turned, throw all three Trailblazer Grenades on it.
You can likely defeat the Bombardier with three Trailblazer Grenades, particularly if you hit the yellow canister on its back. If it survives, focus on its yellow leg joints with the Anvil for maximum damage. After defeating it, use a Smoke Grenade on its body to safely collect the dropped parts.
You only need to retrieve one Bombardier Cell for Shani. Feel free to collect extra items, though – you can sell them for coins or break them down into useful crafting materials.
Once players finish all the goals for the Bombing Run quest in ARC Raiders, they’ll get the Finger Gun Single Shot Emote and 30 Raider Tokens as a reward.
