No Rest for the Wicked Dev Explains Eventual Price Increase

No Rest for the Wicked is an action role-playing game still under development. The game’s creators, Moon Studios – famous for the Ori games – intend to raise the price from $40 to $60 once the game officially launches as version 1.0, after it’s finished with its Early Access period.

Mahler Compares No Rest for the Wicked to Baldur’s Gate 3

He also explained that the game was released as an Early Access title with a $40 price tag because he didn’t want to charge players the full price before it was fully polished and complete. He felt it was important to offer a discount to those who supported the game early on.

I wasn’t a fan of Baldur’s Gate 3 releasing in Early Access at its full price. I believe players who support a game early on deserve some extra benefits or rewards.

Those interested can currently pick up the game on Steam for $23.99.
