After you’ve learned to craft explosives, improve your weapons, and repair the communications node during the ‘Rally and Unite’ quest, the ‘Westward Into the Vale’ quest will become available. Finishing this quest unlocks access to Valley Pass – a new part of Valley IV – and allows you to continue the main storyline.

How to Complete Westward into the Vale Quest in Arknights Endfield

To start the Westward Into the Vale quest, go to the Bridge Approach. It’s close to your Core AIC Area, so you can quickly teleport there from the map and then follow the on-screen marker to find it.

When you reach the area, you’ll see a group of Landbreakers blocking the way in a short video. You’ll need to fight and defeat them all. Remember to work with your team and combine your attacks to deal more damage!

The Landbreakers Chief is a really challenging enemy, so it’s important to bring plenty of healing items and powerful Operators to your team. Also, don’t be afraid to use the Gacha system to get new Operators – finding a strong six-star Operator early on can make battles much easier.

Once the battle is over, you’ll see that the bridge’s elevator is up, preventing you from reaching Valley Pass. It appears to be broken, as its outer covering has been removed.

Go to the bridge switch and try to repair it. You’ll notice it doesn’t work, which means it probably needs power.

Okay, so my next goal is to power up this switch. Once I do that, the bridge will lower and finally let me through to the Valley Pass. Let’s get it done!

How to Transmit Power to the Bridge Approach Electric Nexus

Similar to the Valley Reboot quest, you’ll need to connect Relay Towers, creating a power line from your base to the Bridge Approach Electric Nexus. This will allow the switch to function correctly.

To do this, return to the Core AIC Area and open your backpack. Then, drag and drop Relay Towers from your backpack along the path leading to the bridge switch. For a simpler setup, place one tower near the Bridge Approach (on the grass) and another on the road right after the area where you battled the Landbreakers.

First, activate the main power source (PAC) and select “Start Transmission”. Then, quickly go to the first Relay Tower you set up and choose “Plug Transmission Cable” to connect it. After that, interact with that same Relay Tower again to start transmission from there, and then connect the cable to your second Relay Tower.

Finally, begin power transmission from the second tower and attach the cable to the Electric Nexus.

Okay, so once I finished that step, I used the bridge switch and the passage lowered! That actually completed the ‘Westward Into the Vale’ quest in Arknights Endfield, which was awesome – I got a bunch of rewards like weapons, experience points, and even some Origeometry! Definitely worth it.
