5 Dragon Ball Super Characters Stronger Than Gohan Beast

Currently, as seen in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Gohan Beast is the strongest hero without needing to fuse with anyone else. However, like usual with Gohan, it’s likely Goku, Vegeta, and Broly will eventually become stronger. Still, chapter 103 of Dragon Ball Super showed just how powerful Gohan has become – he managed to knock Goku out of his Ultra Instinct form and even impressed Whis, who suggested Gohan could potentially become a God of Destruction.

Okay, so Gohan Beast is unbelievably strong, but let’s be real, he’s not unbeatable! There are definitely characters in Dragon Ball Super who could take him down. I’m thinking fusions, full-power forms, and especially the divine beings – Gohan Beast is going to have a seriously tough fight when the Dragon Ball Super manga comes back and Toyotarou finally gets to write the Black Frieza Saga. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out!

5. Legendary Super Saiyan Broly Forced Gogeta to Turn Super Saiyan Blue at Full Power

As of the movie Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, Broly hasn’t yet achieved his Full Power Super Saiyan transformation. After his fight with Goku and Vegeta in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, he started training with Beerus to gain better control over his power and prevent losing control, like he did against Gogeta. His Legendary Super Saiyan form is difficult to manage, so he’s focusing on mastering the fundamentals. However, Broly has reportedly made significant progress in his training.

In the manga after the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero movie, Broly trains with Gohan, and surprisingly, his Super Saiyan form allows him to fight effectively against Gohan’s Beast form. Furthermore, in Chapter 103 of Dragon Ball Super, Broly is the only Saiyan still standing after a massive battle. While Gohan shows the least amount of damage, this suggests Broly performed just as well. The fact that Super Saiyan Broly can even compete with Gohan Beast significantly increases his power level. If Broly fully masters his Legendary Super Saiyan transformation, he’s likely to become stronger than Gohan Beast.

4. Black Frieza Beat Ultra Instinct Goku & Ultra Ego Vegeta in a Single Hit

Black Frieza’s transformation is arguably the most powerful ever seen in Dragon Ball. He appeared towards the end of the Granolah Saga in the Dragon Ball Super manga and instantly defeated Gas, then effortlessly knocked out both Ultra Ego Vegeta and Ultra Instinct Goku with a single blow. Frieza spared them simply because they weren’t his intended targets, and he didn’t want an unfair fight.

I’ve been watching Goku and Vegeta train relentlessly to take on Black Frieza, but honestly, it’s hard to say if they’ve made enough progress to even have a fighting chance. Even with how strong Gohan Beast has become, he doesn’t quite measure up to what Black Frieza has already shown he’s capable of. Gohan did manage to defeat Ultra Instinct Goku, though Goku put up a really good fight and quickly mastered Ultra Instinct again. It just feels like, despite everything Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero did to build him up, Gohan isn’t the one who’s ultimately going to defeat Black Frieza.

3. Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is the Most Powerful Fusion of All Time

Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta is unique among Dragon Ball fusions because he’s the only one who’s actually won a fight between characters from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. Surprisingly, other fusions like Gotenks, Vegito, and Kefla have all lost their battles. Gogeta’s victory against Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is a first for fusions, and it was an impressive win – he’s powerful enough to damage reality itself and consistently outperformed Broly in combat.

Goku and Vegeta, when fused as Gogeta, might now be stronger than Beerus, though they’d likely never actually fight him. Given how easily Gogeta defeated Broly, Gohan Beast wouldn’t have much of a chance against Gogeta in his Super Saiyan Blue form. At best, Gohan might be able to win against Gogeta in his base form, but even that seems unlikely.

2. Beerus is the Strongest God in the Multiverse

The Universe Survival arc in the Dragon Ball Super manga strongly establishes Beerus as the most powerful God of Destruction across all universes. During a battle royale among all the Gods of Destruction, known as the Zeno Exhibition, Beerus ultimately wins. The fight was too wild and intense for even the Zenos to appreciate, but before they stopped it, Beerus was the last one remaining. He even demonstrated a unique form of Ultra Instinct, allowing him to evade attacks and continue fighting.

As a long-time Dragon Ball fan, it’s been amazing watching Goku and Vegeta constantly push themselves to try and surpass Beerus! Ever since Battle of Gods, he’s always been that goal, and whenever they seem to get close, Beerus just reveals another level of power. Honestly, even with Gohan’s incredible Beast Mode, I don’t think he’d be able to seriously challenge Beerus at full strength. The gap is just too big, even for Gohan!

1. Whis & the Angels Are Simply on Another Level in Terms of Power Scaling

In Dragon Ball Super, Whis, the Angels, and the Grand Minister are incredibly powerful. During the fight against Moro, Whis effortlessly blocked an attack from Planet Moro that even Goku barely managed to notice. Jaco and Krillin were too slow to even see Whis’s move! Similarly, Whis easily dodged every single attack from Legendary Super Saiyan Broly.

I’ve been thinking about how the Angels from Dragon Ball Super would fare in a real fight, and honestly, they’d win every time against anyone who isn’t another Angel. We’ve seen that even the strongest mortals can’t even come close to defeating a God of Destruction, and the Angels are all individually more powerful than their universe’s God of Destruction. So, even with Gohan Beast pushing his limits, he wouldn’t stand a chance against someone like Whis, the Grand Priest, or any of the other Angels.
