The new trailer for WWE 2K26 reveals updated gameplay features and introduces a playable CM Punk character that hasn’t been in a WWE video game before.
A new trailer for the upcoming WWE 2K26 game was shown during the WWE Royal Rumble. It highlighted several returning and new features, including the Inferno and Dumpster matches, the ability to stack tables again, and the return of thumbtacks – a feature not seen in a WWE game since WWE Legends of WrestleMania in 2009.
One of the coolest things they showed off was CM Punk’s old Ring of Honor gear. They even did this awesome scene where he faced off against a younger version of himself! For those who don’t know, Ring of Honor is where guys like Punk, Samoa Joe, and Bryan Danielson first made a name for themselves. They really nailed the look too – Punk’s model had his blonde hair from way back in 2002-2003. Honestly, this is the first time we’ve ever seen that early version of him officially in a wrestling game, which is pretty awesome.
The WWE 2K26 Showcase Spotlights CM Punk
According to a report from TopMob, WWE 2K26’s Showcase mode will focus on the career of CM Punk. The mode will be narrated by Punk himself and will include hypothetical matches exploring what could have happened if he hadn’t left WWE in 2014.
CM Punk is this year’s cover athlete, marking his first appearance since WWE ’13 in 2012. Like that previous edition, this game will highlight the exciting WWE Attitude Era. The WWE Attitude Era version of the game is priced at $129.99. You can find a complete list of game prices here: [link]
