Goku isn’t known for inventing completely new fighting techniques, but he’s incredibly effective with the moves he has – whether he learned them from others or came up with them himself. He has the widest range of attacks in the entire Dragon Ball series, and consistently uses them to win battles.
This continues in Super, where Goku finds new and better ways to use his established moves. While not always final attacks, these are still some of the most powerful techniques Goku has ever demonstrated, both in Super and throughout the entire series.
Inner Flame
In Dragon Ball, energy waves like the Kamehameha and Special Beam Cannon are famous and powerful attacks. However, a subtler technique called Kiai is equally important in battles. While you might not always notice them, almost every fighter uses Kiai throughout the series.
Goku’s Inner Flame is a powerful energy attack. When he’s in his Ultra Instinct Sign form, Goku releases a huge scream, creating a powerful shockwave that pushes opponents away. This move is mainly used for defense, but it also revitalizes Goku, giving him a burst of energy to continue fighting.
Soaring Fist
This attack isn’t complicated – it’s a simple Kiai technique that Goku performs when using both Ultra Instinct Sign and Perfected Ultra Instinct. Despite its simplicity, it’s remarkably powerful.
Goku uses his Ultra Instinct to launch a devastating close-range attack, finishing with a powerful energy wave. This attack reaches opponents from a distance without losing strength, and while it doesn’t necessarily end a fight, it’s a strong move that can quickly shift the battle in Goku’s favor.
Wild Dance Annihilation
Wild Dance Annihilation is a stronger version of Soaring Fist, but Goku only uses it when he’s reached Perfected Ultra Instinct. It’s almost identical to the original attack, though it’s more powerful and often used as part of a longer series of blows.
Goku includes a backflip in his attack combo, quickly following it with his Soaring Fist. This time, instead of a single blast, he unleashes several shockwaves simultaneously. This significantly boosts his damage output and overwhelms his opponent with multiple attacks at once.
Destructo Disc Hexa Blade
Everyone remembers the Destructo Disc as Krillin’s signature move. However, Goku has a habit of learning techniques from others and then making them his own. He did the same with the Destructo Disc, significantly improving it and adding his own power to it.
Okay, so the Destructo Disc Hexa Blade initially looks just like a normal Destructo Disc – you see Goku fire off that awesome energy wave, and you think you know what’s coming. But just like the Triple Blade version, it doesn’t stop there! Instead of splitting into three discs, this one goes even further, breaking apart into six! And the really cool part is each of those six discs can independently lock onto the target – it’s a much bigger threat!
Kamehameha Blaster
Goku and Vegeta fought their hardest against Broly, but even their powerful Kamehameha Blaster wasn’t enough to significantly hurt him. It’s a more powerful version of Goku’s classic Kamehameha, but he has even stronger attacks he can use.
The Kamehameha Blaster isn’t about a single, strong blast; it’s designed to hit opponents with a rapid stream of energy. When Goku uses it against Broly, it does some damage, though Broly withstands most of the attack. It’s not the most focused Kamehameha, but it’s still effective.
Universe 7’s Spirit Bomb
Besides the Kamehameha, Goku is famous for the Spirit Bomb. However, even though it’s often used to end fights, the Spirit Bomb doesn’t always work because it takes a long time to gather energy.
The Spirit Bomb created by Universe 7 is a more powerful version of the original, fueled by the energy of everyone on the team except Vegeta. It’s highly concentrated, drawing power from the universe’s strongest warriors. However, despite its potential, it doesn’t quite live up to expectations, just like the first Spirit Bomb.
Supreme Kamehameha
The Supreme Kamehameha is, as you might expect, the most powerful version of this famous attack. It’s certainly the strongest one Goku has ever used. Like other Kamehamehas, it’s a spectacular and impressive finishing move that really highlights just how strong Goku is.
When Goku accesses Ultra Instinct – both the Sign and Perfected forms – he performs a powerful version of the Kamehameha. He gathers a huge amount of energy before releasing an enormous blue wave that’s far bigger and stronger than his usual Kamehameha attacks.
