Red Dead Online’s Halloween 2024 Content Explained

Red Dead Online's Halloween 2024 Content Explained

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I’ve seen my fair share of ups and downs in the gaming world, but none quite like the rollercoaster that is Red Dead Online (RDO). It’s been a bit of a wild west since its launch, constantly playing second fiddle to GTA Online, yet somehow managing to keep me hooked.

In simpler terms, despite the immense popularity of “Red Dead Redemption 2”, its online version, “Red Dead Online”, has struggled to match the same level of success as “GTA Online” in Rockstar’s recent years. Fans initially expected more from “Red Dead Online” around its launch, but it didn’t quite reach those expectations.

This situation led to Rockstar Games ceasing significant post-release updates for Red Dead Online, just a couple of years following its debut. However, there’s still an abundance of seasonal content available to maintain fan interest. For instance, Halloween is expected to bring a flood of fresh content to Red Dead Online, including new cosmetics, rewards, missions, and other exciting elements.

Red Dead Online Has Some Big Plans For Halloween 2024

Similar to Grand Theft Auto Online, Red Dead Online has been hosting numerous seasonal in-game activities since its debut in 2018. These events provide a fun and engaging way for multiplayer enthusiasts to enjoy fresh, timely content. As the major post-launch content for Red Dead Online is wrapping up in 2022, these seasonal events have become crucial updates for the game. Special occasions like Halloween and Christmas hold significant importance within Red Dead Online (RDO).

This year is no less special as the October update for Red Dead Online introduces an unexpectedly rich assortment of chilling Halloween content for players to enjoy. A significant part of Red Dead Online’s Halloween offering includes the debut of three entirely new Bodyguard Telegram Missions. These novel adventures will have players escorting drivers through foreboding landscapes, safeguarding a wealthy resident amidst a turbulent night, and shielding hunters from poachers and intimidating wildlife. To encourage fans even more, these missions, along with all other Telegram missions, offer double the amount of XP, Gold, and RDO$ until November 4.

As a gamer, I’m super excited about this year’s Red Dead Online Halloween event! The All Hallow’s Call to Arms Mode is back, and it’s time for us to test our skills against hordes of eerie opponents. The Night Stalker mask will be back too, offering a powerful advantage when the competition gets tough. Plus, to get us in the spirit, Telegram missions have been added, and All Hallow’s Call to Arms will dish out double Gold, XP, and RDO$ all through October!

A Range of New and Old Halloween Cosmetics Are Now Available in Red Dead Online

For the 2024 Halloween season in Red Dead Online, the Halloween Pass 2 serves as a crucial element of the festive content. To participate, players must buy the Halloween Pass 2 first. Once acquired, the pass offers 15 levels filled with scary cosmetics that fans can unravel, use, and keep forever. It’s important to mention that this Halloween Pass is identical to some past events, retaining the same cosmetics, so players should consider getting the pass only if they failed to grab it during its previous releases.

Throughout October, various in-game items will go on sale, accompanied by weekly challenges and XP boosts that lead players towards an extensive selection of existing Halloween content. Additionally, new community-created cosmetics, such as masks and outfits, are now free and accessible via the Wheeler, Rawson and Co. Catalogue and Madam Nazar in Red Dead Online. Despite the game not receiving the consistent post-launch focus it warranted, fans can still enjoy a generous serving of fresh and returning content to celebrate Halloween.
