As you level up, you can afford better armor and weapons, essential for facing increasingly skilled and well-equipped opponents in this medieval combat experience.
You’ll also need to spend money on things like entering contests and paying for a night at the inn to recover your health. Because of this, figuring out how to earn money quickly in Half Sword is really important.
How To Make Money Fast In Half Sword
In Half Sword, you mainly earn money by winning competitions. However, choosing the right competitions is key to maximizing your earnings. There are a few other ways to gain coins as well, which we’ll cover next.
Perform Errands
When you rest by speaking to the innkeeper, you might get a chance to earn 5 coins by doing a quick errand. These errands usually involve either breaking a barrel or safely guiding a drunk person home. It’s an easy way to make some extra money!
If players can’t afford to pay for a night at the inn, they’ll always be given an opportunity to earn some money by doing a small job.
Look For Contests With Fewer Rounds
When choosing events, don’t just focus on the prize money. Also consider the number of rounds – you need to win them all! Shorter events are quicker to complete, and you have a better chance of surviving to the end.
Be careful with events that only happen once, as they can be difficult to win against stronger opponents who have powerful weapons. For example, the Retribution event is notoriously challenging. However, if you’re a skilled player, these single-round events can be very rewarding.

KnockDown Brawls Are The Fastest
The event card will clearly show the type of fight in red lettering. This could be a Circle match, a Submission battle, or a KnockDown fight, for instance. KnockDown fights, which are just fist fights, can be very fast-paced and therefore relatively inexpensive to watch.
A round ends immediately when your opponent falls. With quick attacks and a few solid hits, you could win in just seconds. Because these are bare-knuckle fights, there’s virtually no risk of serious injury or a permanent loss.
Avoid Taking Damage
Healing after taking damage uses money, so it’s best to be careful and avoid unnecessary fights, especially when you’re low on funds early in the game.
Avoid The Slums When Possible
The Slums map is known for being very difficult to move around on, and a single slip can put you at a disadvantage, even if you’re a skilled player. It’s best to avoid playing on this map if you can. If you do end up fighting there, try to stay on the wooden platforms instead of the muddy ground.
Loot Armor & Weapons To Sell
After winning a battle, before moving on, you can collect weapons and armor by pressing Q or E while crouching. You can then sell these items to the shopkeeper at the inn.
Before you sell anything, unequip it first. You won’t receive the full value, but any pfennings you get are a bonus!
Get Promoted For Higher Stake Events
Once players win a sufficient number of battles, they can enter the Beggar Tournament. This tournament has seven rounds, each one more challenging than the last. Winning the tournament offers a large reward and also allows players to move up to the next rank.
Players can create a wider variety of weapons here, and they’ll also unlock harder battles with better rewards. Because of this, it’s best to advance to the next rank as quickly as possible. There are numerous ranks to climb beyond Beggar and Peasant, creating an ongoing cycle of progression.
Getting promoted also means that if you get a game over, you can restart from your new rank.
Avoid Killing, Aim To Make Them Submit
When a player defeats another, they create an additional zombie that will fight against them when they enter the Abyss. Specifically, each opponent killed adds one zombie to the fight.
Instead of killing enemies, try to force them to surrender. When they’re on the ground, hold your weapon near their throat to make them submit.
