A post from the Speranza Intel X account unexpectedly became very popular online, leading many ARC Raiders fans to believe Embark had announced a player-versus-environment (PvE) mode for 2026 – though that wasn’t the intention.

On February 1, Speranza Intel posted:

Embark Studios hasn’t officially announced whether they will release a player-versus-environment mode, which was previously expected in the second quarter of 2026.

The word “not” is cleverly hidden within the message due to its phrasing, font, and size, making it easy to miss. Since being posted on X (formerly Twitter), the message has gained over 800,000 views, and it’s spreading quickly through word of mouth – a surprisingly effective way to share information.

The account followed up with an apology, explaining the first message was just a joke. They also confirmed that Embark has not announced any plans for a player-versus-environment (PvE) mode.

We apologize if our recent tweet caused confusion. It was intended as a lighthearted comment, but it seems many people misinterpreted it. To be clear, Embark Studios hasn’t officially confirmed the information we mentioned.

Will PvE Ever Come To ARC Raiders?

The team behind ARC Raiders is consistently creating new things for the game. While they haven’t officially announced any plans for a player-versus-environment mode, it’s still a potential feature they could add.

This is mostly just guessing, but the Embark team usually pays attention to what players want. Considering their ambitious plans for 2026, including new game modes and limited-time events, it’s certainly possible we could see a dedicated player-versus-environment mode in the future.
