Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Deku Scrub Lockup Walkthrough

Get the Key

Initially, players need to press ZL to mark the location where the Deku Scrub’s key was left. After that, fans can pick up the key using Echoes of Wisdom’s Tri, walk backward to move the item towards Zelda’s cell, and finally use the key to unlock the locked door.

Sneak Past the Deku Scrubs

Players are now prompted to ascend and walk through the doorway on their left, found at the end of a brief passageway. Beyond this door lies an area where enthusiasts should maneuver around numerous Deku Scrubs. Here’s one strategy for navigating this space successfully:

1. Push the pot at the bottom of the screen until it comes into contact with the crates on the left.
2. Jump into the pot, jump onto the crates, and continue left to bypass the first Deku Scrub.
3. Pickup a pot, and place it next to the single crate at the entrance to the next Deku Scrub area.
4. Jump into the pot, jump onto the crate, and jump onto the stone platform to the left to bypass the enemies.
5. Advance to the beginning of the area with the two rotating Deku Scrubs.
6. Grab a crate near the entrance to the area with Tri, and use it to prevent the Deku Scrubs from seeing Zelda as she moves toward the bottom of the room.
7. Repeat this process at the bottom to get Zelda to the exit on the left.

Get the Heart Piece

As a devoted fan, I’m excited to share that you’ll soon be in a room with a mysteriously locked cell. The grand objective here is to escape through a door, nestled snugly in the top-right corner of this enigma. Before embarking on this quest, consider exploring an optional chamber adorned with some of Echoes of Wisdom’s precious Heart Pieces. To gain access, just use your Tri ability to gently nudge the plants that are nestled against the ceiling wall.

After entering the room with the Heart Piece, players can follow these steps to reach the item:

1. Move the bed so that it’s top-right corner touches the bottom-left corner of the Deku Scrub statues.
2. Place a brazier on top of the bed’s left side.
3. Place the second brazier directly below the brazier on the bed.
4. Place the table on top of the bed’s right side.
5. Stand on the ground just below the table, and grab the table with Tri.
6. Jump up onto the bed’s right side.
7. Jump back and left to get onto the brazier on the ground.
8. Jump up onto the brazier that is on the bed. Place the table on top of a plant from this position.
9. Jump onto the plant, then onto the table, and then across the gap to reach the Heart Piece.

Solve the Bed Puzzle

Fans of Zelda should depart from the Heart Piece room now, aiming towards the previously mentioned objective – finding the exit located at the top-right corner. Here’s how to proceed:

1. Open the locked door to enter the cell.
2. Jump down to the bed, grab it with Tri, and walk up the ramp.
3. Place the bed on the edge of the ledge so that it is possible to jump across the gap.
4. Grab the second bed with Tri and walk backwards, making sure to fall into the gap.
5. Ascend the ramp to elevate the bed further, and then place the bed on top of the entrance to the cell.
6. Exit the cell, grab the bed with Tri, and place it next to the brazier.
7. Jump onto the bed, then onto the brazier, then across the gap to reach the exit.

Reclaim the Tri Rod

In an adjacent room, gamers will come across a Deku Scrub character who holds the key to Zelda’s Tri Rod. This means players can now utilize Echoes once more. To open the room’s exit, players should summon an able ally like a Boomerang Boarblin that can hit the blue device and unlock the door.

Scare the Deku Scrubs

Leaving the chamber where the Tri Rod was seized, players are advised to proceed via the door on the right-hand side. Beyond that door, you’ll encounter several timid Deku Scrubs who are alarmed by the creatures in Echoes of Wisdom. To navigate this area effortlessly, players can just walk past the Deku Scrubs and produce a monster echo when enemies try to chase Zelda.

Pass Through the Well

Following past the Deku Scrubs, gamers are advised to leap into the pit and proceed accordingly to navigate through a 2D segment as follows:

1. Grab the boulder with Tri, and place it atop a crate to make the crate sink.
2. Descend into the water, and use a Bombfish to destroy the crates on the right side.
3. Pass two Hydrozols, use Bombfish to destroy the crates on the left, and collect the purple Rupee.
4. Create a Platboom near the waterfalls on the right, jump onto it, and jump over the waterfalls to continue moving right.
5. Pass the Deku Babas, swim all the way to the right, and use Tri to move the boulder that is against the right wall.
6. Place a Platboom beneath the fast water on the right, and use it to reach the Might Crystal.
7. Swim to the fast water on the left, place a Platboom beneath it, and use it to reach the ladder.
8. Climb the ladders to exit Deku Scrub Lockup.

Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Where to Go After Deku Scrub Lockup

As soon as players successfully exit Deku Scrub Lockup, they’ll obtain the Membership Card for Echoes of Wisdom. This card grants them access to the tranquil Stilled Faron Wetlands in the northeastern part of the region. Navigating through this area eventually leads to the Faron Temple.
