Brawl Stars: Every Rare Brawler, Ranked

Brawl Stars: Every Rare Brawler, Ranked

As a seasoned Brawl Stars player with countless hours under my belt, I must say that each of these characters brings something unique to the table.

Brawl Stars is a quick, multiplayer mobile game where competitors engage in various modes, facing off against each other while utilizing one of the over 80 characters (brawlers) available within the game. Each character has distinct abilities, offering players numerous strategies to employ during any specific match.

For beginners, it’s essential to understand which initial Rare brawlers are ideal to enhance, as they form a solid base for stronger brawlers that will be unlocked later. In the game, there are eight Rare brawlers in total, although none of them are the most powerful. However, each one lays a good groundwork for future brawlers. This article will discuss each brawler’s advantages, disadvantages, and practical applications, along with assessing their suitability in different game modes and ease of use for new players.

8 El Primo

Brings His Furious Fists To Brawl

  • Class: Tank
  • Movement Speed: Fast
  • Range: Short
  • Health: 12,000
  • Damage Per Punch: 760

As an avid fan, I’d put it this way: I love El Primo! This heavyweight tank unleashes a barrage of powerful punches on my foes in close combat, dealing significant damage. His lightning-fast reload speed means he keeps the hits coming. For his super, he leaps into the air and pushes enemies away upon landing, shattering any cover along the way and causing harm. Since El Primo excels in close quarters, his super is a must for getting up close and personal with my adversaries. Plus, each time I get hit, a bit of my super gets charged, making it easier to activate!

El Primo excels in close combat but often finds himself at a disadvantage against brawlers capable of dealing heavy damage from afar. His super, while not the most effective, has a drawback: the longer he travels, the more time it takes, allowing enemies to flee before the landing zone is reached. Additionally, his super destroys walls, reducing available cover for El Primo. Consequently, El Primo is a suitable pick in game modes like Brawl Ball and Showdown on maps abundant with bushes and concealment.

7 Bull

Wields A Powerful Shotgun Up Close

  • Class: Tank
  • Movement Speed: Fast
  • Range: Normal
  • Health: 10,000
  • Damage Per Shell: 880

The character known as Bull is similar to a heavy-duty tank, capable of dishing out massive damage at close range using his shotgun, inflicting a maximum of 4,400 damage if all bullets hit their mark. His special ability lets him charge towards opponents over long distances, pushing them back, destroying walls in his path, and knocking down enemies. However, during this charge, he can be harmed by enemies and potentially defeated. Additionally, the range of his super may carry him farther than desired. Bull’s Stomper tool is beneficial because when activated, it causes Bull to halt his charge and slow nearby enemies, giving him a chance to deal with them more effectively at close range.

Additionally, Bull’s two abilities are quite potent. The Tough Guy skill provides him with a health-reducing shield when his health drops below 40%, enhancing his durability, while the Berserker ability doubles his reload speed if his health falls below 60%, boosting his offensive capabilities. Essentially, Bull excels in close combat situations more than any other brawler, but his true strength is on maps filled with bushes and cover, particularly in modes like Brawl Ball and Showdown, making him rather specific to certain scenarios.

6 Rosa

The Ultimate Tank

  • Class: Tank
  • Movement Speed: Fast
  • Range: Short
  • Health: 10,000
  • Damage Per Punch: 920

Although Rosa’s close-range attacks might not inflict as much harm as other tanks, her super ability makes her extremely tough to beat. This shield lasts for three seconds, reducing incoming damage by an impressive 70%. This enables her to endure massive amounts of damage while advancing towards opponents and safeguarding her teammates. Additionally, her super becomes stronger the more damage she takes, meaning she can use it more frequently.

Furthermore, Rosa’s hypercharge causes enemies nearby to move more slowly when she uses her super, making it simple for her and her allies to eliminate these slowed foes. Her strong connection with bushes empowers her on maps filled with vegetation like Snake Prairie, positioning her as a dominant force. In essence, Rosa excels at shielding herself and her team from enemy attacks, making her versatile across various game modes.

5 Brock

Fires Powerful, But Slow-Moving Rockets

  • Class: Marksman
  • Movement Speed: Normal
  • Range: Long
  • Health: 4,800
  • Damage Per Rocket: 2,320

Brock launches rockets that detonate upon hitting, causing surrounding damage and leaving a brief trail of fire on the ground for approximately 2.9 seconds. As his special ability, he fires a series of rockets over walls, inflicting significant damage within its impact zone, destroying any barriers in their path as well. This can be particularly effective against groups of enemies hiding behind walls, but it also enables Brock to demolish cover, giving him an advantage in long-range combat scenarios.

In comparison to other snipers like Piper and Bea in the game, Brock’s rockets pack quite a punch, but they travel at a slower pace. This slowness makes it simpler for enemies to evade his shots, especially as ranks increase. Additionally, Brock’s reload speed is relatively slow, so players need to ensure each rocket counts. Nevertheless, Brock remains a viable choice across various maps and game modes. His More Rockets star power and hypercharge amplify his super’s potency, but due to the regular attack’s projectile speed, there are more powerful long-range alternatives available.

4 Nita

Can Be Overbearing For Opponents

  • Class: Damage Dealer
  • Movement Speed: Normal
  • Range: Normal
  • Health: 8,000
  • Damage: 1,920

Nita exhibits significant strength as a versatile mid-range combatant, excelling in numerous scenarios. Her standard attack penetrates foes, making short work of groups due to her exceptionally swift reload pace. Her special ability summons a bear that pursues the nearest adversary. This bear boasts substantial health, a moderate melee attack, and slow movement, serving as both a tank for Nita and her team and a tool to drive back enemies as they approach their target.

Nita’s Hypercharge enhances the power of her bear companion, boosting its speed and vitality, thereby amplifying its menace. Moreover, with Nita’s Hyper Bear star power, her bear attacks become lightning-fast, greatly increasing its attack potency. This trait makes Nita particularly effective in the Heist mode, as her bear can swiftly destroy the safe if not promptly countered. In summary, Nita is a multi-talented brawler who thrives in numerous game modes and maps that aren’t overly expansive.

3 Barley

Map Controlling Thrower

  • Class: Artillery
  • Movement Speed: Normal
  • Range: Long
  • Health: 4,800
  • Damage Per Second: 1,600

In his standard move, Barley hurls bottles which smash upon hitting the ground, creating a pool of harm that instantly damages opponents and continues to do so if they stay within it. On the other hand, for his super attack, he launches five flaming bottles across a wide space, inflicting damage similar to his regular attack. These fiery puddles linger on the ground longer and can deal multiple instances of damage to enemies who remain within their affected area.

Barley may have a slower reload time, but he excels at controlling map areas by creating puddles that restrict movement. This can be done from afar and safely behind cover. To top it off, Barley’s star powers are excellent: Medical Use restores his health after each attack, while Extra Noxious increases the damage of his regular attacks by 200. In essence, Barley performs best on maps with plenty of cover and in game modes where control is key, such as Gem Grab and Hot Zone.

2 Colt

Strong All-Round Damage Dealer

  • Class: Damage Dealer
  • Movement Speed: Normal
  • Range: Long
  • Health: 5,600
  • Damage Per Bullet: 720

In six shots, Colt’s pistols inflict substantial harm, especially when they all hit a target. His long range, swift bullet speed, and quick reloading capability enable him to consistently put stress on opponents. Moreover, his special attack unleashes 12 bullets that can pass through enemies and destroy cover. This makes it easier for Colt to manage multiple enemies and clear the map, eliminating cover for close-range fighters while providing himself with an edge due to his long range.

Colt’s attack damage can be substantial, but hitting opponents isn’t always straightforward, especially for beginners. However, his Magnum Special ability simplifies this by extending the reach and speed of his attacks. Additionally, his hypercharge expands the area of effect of his super, making it simpler to hit enemies with it. To sum up, Colt is a versatile brawler, but mastering him can be challenging due to the difficulty in landing shots.

1 Poco

Superb Supportive Healer

  • Class: Support
  • Movement Speed: Normal
  • Range: Long
  • Health: 7,400
  • Damage: 1,520

In Brawl Stars, Poco is the initial healer character, ideal for backing up his team. His basic attack inflicts moderate damage on enemies while penetrating them. The broad spread and extended range of this attack make it simple for Poco to hit opponents effectively. Moreover, its piercing damage enables him to handle multiple adversaries simultaneously. His super ability restores health to himself and any teammates within reach, up to a maximum of 4,200 health. This power can pass through walls and has an impressive range and spread, making it effortless for Poco to heal teammates from a distance.

Beyond that, Poco’s star abilities enhance his strength significantly. The Screeching Solo ability causes Poco’s super to damage opponents by 1,520 points, boosting his offensive potential. On the other hand, Da Capo turns Poco’s regular attacks into healing strikes for his teammates, reaching a maximum of 962 health. Furthermore, Poco’s Tuning Fork gadget heals himself and nearby allies up to 740 health per second for five seconds. Lastly, Poco’s hypercharge amplifies his supportive role by bestowing a hitpoint shield on his teammates, using any excess healing his super generates. In essence, Poco is an ideal brawler for supporting teammates and can be easily utilized across various maps and game modes.
