While the first week of February 2026 isn’t packed with releases, it marks the start of the year with some noteworthy new games.

For the PS5 and PS4 releases of 2026, RPG fans are in for a treat.

Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is a beautifully updated version of the beloved classic RPG, now available on PS5 from February 5th. The characters have been completely rebuilt with detailed 3D models. While the core story is the same, the game has been improved with a smoother experience and extra content like optional quests and minigames to enrich the narrative. Reviewers praised the remake, noting that it successfully updates the original for today’s gamers with helpful improvements and new features.

Nioh 3 launches on PS5 on February 6th and continues the challenging action-RPG series known for its dark samurai setting. Like its predecessor, Nioh 2, you’ll be able to customize the appearance of Tokugawa Takechiyo. Be warned: this game is incredibly difficult, very much in the style of the Souls games, so it’s not for those looking for an easy experience.

We can expect a steady stream of game releases from now on, especially with a major title – Resident Evil Requiem – launching later this month. Capcom recently showed off new features, including more intelligent zombies and a crafting system that uses blood, which should make the game more exciting for players following Leon and his team.
