4 Free PS Plus Games Are Officially Available to Download Now

This month’s free PlayStation Plus Essential games are now available to download on both PS4 and PS5. Sony had mentioned they might remove PS4 games from the service, but haven’t done so yet. Actually, three out of the four games currently offered can still be played on PS4.

January brought a variety of games to PlayStation Plus, including Need for Speed Unbound, Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper. While the free games were appreciated by some, many players felt underwhelmed. The February 2026 lineup aims to offer broad appeal again, hoping to provide something for all types of gamers, but its reception is yet to be determined.

February 2026’s free PlayStation Plus games are led by Undisputed, and also include Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. All four games are available to download now on PS5, though Ace Combat 7 is only the PS4 version. Undisputed is the only game not available for PS4 players.

PS Plus Free Games for February 2026 Can Be Downloaded Now

  • Undisputed (PS5)
  • Subnautica: Below Zero (PS5, PS4)
  • Ultros (PS5, PS4)
  • Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)

Undisputed claims to be the most realistic boxing game available, and while that’s debatable, it does offer a solid fighting experience. Players can expect to spend around 15.5 hours completing it, according to HowLongtoBeat.com. Subnautica: Below Zero is the second game in the Subnautica series (a different game than the upcoming Subnautica 2). It’s a survival game where PlayStation Plus subscribers explore an alien ocean planet and investigate the fate of a lost sister, offering around 26 hours of gameplay. Combined, these two games alone could keep players busy for a full work week!

For PlayStation Plus subscribers, Ultros is a unique and lengthy Metroidvania game—you can expect around 17 hours of gameplay. It follows all the classic elements of the genre, but with a bizarre and fascinating setting: a place called The Sarcophagus, which is essentially a cosmic womb containing an ancient, demonic infant. With an 81 critic score on Metacritic, it’s a great option for Metroidvania fans. Also available is Ace Combat 7, famous for its exciting aerial combat, adding another 15 hours of gameplay.

How The PS Plus Free Games for February 2026 Reviewed

Via Metacritic

With a score of 82, Subnautica: Below Zero is a great choice for both longtime fans and newcomers to the survival genre. Ultros (81) and Ace Combat 7 (80) are similarly well-received, all three games offering a comparable level of quality.

It’s a bit surprising, but the main game featured in PlayStation Plus’s February line-up actually has the lowest review scores of the four games offered. Undisputed received a Metacritic score of 70, which means critics generally had a mixed or average opinion of it.

  • Undisputed: 70
  • Ace Combat 7: 80
  • Ultros: 81
  • Subnautica: Below Zero – 82

Since its release, the game has been improved with better gameplay, mechanics, and graphics. If you didn’t try it when it launched in late 2024, now’s a good time, especially with PS Plus. However, it still has some problems – online issues, infrequent and underwhelming updates, and a career mode that doesn’t offer much depth. Opinions vary widely, so while some may not enjoy it, others might find it a worthwhile experience. Luckily, it’s free to try for PS Plus subscribers, so you can decide for yourself.
