Many modern games, no matter the type, now feature multiple endings. How you unlock these endings differs from game to game. In Code Vein 2, there are only three endings, and all of them can be achieved in one playthrough. You’ll need to complete some extra tasks before getting the final endings, but don’t worry – none of them are missable. This guide will show you how to unlock every ending in Code Vein 2.
Each ending in the game has a corresponding Trophy or Achievement that you’ll usually earn automatically while watching the credits roll.
The guide has major story spoilers for Code Vein 2.
All Endings in Code Vein 2
A Hero’s End Ending
This is the first ending you’ll unlock in the game, and it’s easy to get! You don’t need to do anything special – just follow the main story and complete the storylines for Josee, Lyle, and Holly. This will open up the fourth area, Insula Carcere. Once there, finish the final hero’s story to reach the end of the game.
In the last section, you’ll face three bosses – the Pathos – located in separate parts of the area. Once you defeat the final boss, the credits will begin, and you’ll earn your first trophy.
Luna Fraterna Ending
Once you finish the “A Hero’s End” ending, you’ll return to the main menu and see Zenon indicating the “Continue” option. Selecting continue will place you back in the game after the first ending’s events, and Zenon will ask to meet you. You’ll then find yourself right before the final boss fight, where the main character collapses. After recovering, you need to travel to Insula Carcere. Following the events there, you’ll reunite with the other heroes in MagMell and then proceed to the Sealing Spire.
This dungeon is a tall tower you must climb. At the very top, you’ll face a powerful boss, and defeating it will unlock a second ending to the game.

Miraculous Bonds Ending
The “Miraculous Bond” ending – often considered the true ending – is the only one that requires specific actions. Early in the game, during the Noah’s Ark section, you must travel to the past and rescue Noah. This triggers a difficult boss battle, and successfully completing it will alter the history of MagMell, fulfilling the first requirement for this ending.
Next, you need to strengthen your connection with the three heroes in the Sunken City, Corroded Scar, and Undead Forest. To help Holly, find both Camillo’s Remnants and travel back in time to battle the Retainer of Idris. Then, head to the Sanatorium, where you’ll explore Holly’s memories and delve into the Underground Sanatorium dungeon.
Okay, so after heading back to the Sanatorium and watching a few cutscenes, I found myself in this really cool place called the Memory Realm. It’s like a puzzle area with levers that create bridges – these bridges let you move forward, but also act as shortcuts if you fall in battle, which is super helpful! Once I finished navigating that, I had to beat another boss. After that, things changed in the Undead Forest – it was awesome! But the quest isn’t over yet. Now I need to go back to the Sanatorium to face off against Hero Holly to finally complete everything.
Okay, so after I messed with things in the Undead Forest, I was able to go to the Sanatorium and snag Lise’s Hair Ornament. That kicked off a quest about Josee and her weakening connection to… well, everything. I had to go back to the past by using the bond thing at Josee’s Outpost, and it was a total ambush! Luckily, I made it back to the present. Now I’m heading to the Hill Overlooking the Clock Tower and going southeast to continue the quest.
Near the tower, a girl will give you the key to the Underground Shelter located behind her. Go inside, watch the cutscene, and then return to the present to watch another one before heading to Bureau Castle. You’ll find the castle southwest of Undead Forest, but you can only reach it during this quest. Inside the castle, you’ll battle a tough boss. Defeating it will change the history of Sunken City, and allow you to fight Hero Josee by breaking open her cocoon, finishing the quest.
To complete Lyle’s quest, first travel to MagMell and then go back in time to the 2187: Free Exploration Era. Go to the Forward Base One: North Mistle to find Lyle and talk to him. After that, return to the present and find Lyle’s Rusted Sword at a grave. Once you have the sword, go back to the past and travel to Pioneer Castle to speak with Craig.
Next, you’ll need to venture into the Sealed Great Mine and defeat the boss waiting at the end. Once you’ve done that and returned to the present, go back to Pioneer Castle and speak with Craig before battling Hero Lyle to finish the quest.

After finishing all the quests and altering history in each of the four regions, you need to unlock the Luna Fraterna ending and return to the main menu. You’ll then see a new choice, “Save Lou.” Selecting this will begin the final part of the game, which involves a series of challenging boss battles.
Once you’ve explored all the monuments, go to the Mistle near the fog gate and enter to begin the final boss fight. Defeating the boss will trigger the final cutscene and unlock the true ending of the game.
