As someone who’s spent countless hours immersed in the magical worlds of Nintendo, the announcement of the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo has me absolutely thrilled! The idea of waking up to the soothing melodies of my favorite games is simply enchanting.
This week, Nintendo is set to unveil the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo, exclusive to Nintendo Switch Online members until mid-January. This interactive alarm clock offers a variety of features that infuse a touch of Nintendo’s unique charm into your mornings. However, you might find yourself tempted to throw it against a wall after being awakened by the Zelda theme repeatedly at 6am.
Alarmo utilizes motion sensor technology, enabling you to dismiss it simply by waving a hand or tapping your head on your pillow instead of struggling to precisely tap the snooze button on your phone. Additionally, it offers a variety of 35 customizable alarm scenes reminiscent of five popular Nintendo games such as Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Splatoon 3, Pikmin 4, and Ring Fit Adventure.
Here are a few mornings, you might find yourself waking up to soothing tunes from various games like Mushroom Kingdom or Hyrule. You can even monitor your sleep patterns by checking your sleeping records. Furthermore, an hourly chime can be set according to your preference, based on the title of your choice. Lastly, you have the option to select two modes to customize the intensity of your morning alarm.
Firm Mode gets louder and more intense the longer you stay in bed, while Gentle Mode opts for a more peaceful and stable method. If you want to stick to the standard button press of traditional and boring alarms, the option is there as well. Finally, there are a selection of sleepy sounds that help you wind down after a long day. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be added to the scenes at a later date if players link their Nintendo Account.
