Upon reaching the “Staff Elevator” in the “Lakeview Hotel,” James discovers that the elevator remains stationary unless he stores all his weapons and gear inside a nearby locker first. This lift carries players to the “Employee Area” of the hotel, where they’ll meet a creature that scuttles about using its arms attached to the ceiling. The most effective approach is stealth, as there’s no way to attack these creatures directly.

Where To Find All Gemstones In Silent Hill 2 Remake
To find the three Gemstone follow these steps:
- Enter the Cafeteria by jumping through the window and head to the Kitchen to find the Green Gemstone.
- Head inside the Pantry and go through the open door to reach the Freezer Room. Pick up the Blue Gemstone from the fridge. There is a Glimpses of the Past inside the Pantry that you can also pick up.
- Go to the Manager’s Office and turn right to find a cupboard you can push in the TV Room. Inside the Manager’s Room, you will find the Red Gemstone.
Opening Gemstone Box And The Safe In The Break Room
After collecting all the gemstones, navigate your way to the Gemstone Box located within the Manager’s Office. To unlock the Gemstone Box, follow these steps:
- Place the Red Gemstone in the top right slot.
- Place the Green Gemstone in the top left slot.
- Place the Blue Gemstone in the bottom left slot.
This will give you the Keypad Numbers Memo, which shows the number “7414“. Go to the Break Room, use this code on the Safe to open it, and find the Video Tape and Basement Key inside. Open the Basement Door and proceed downstairs to progress in the story.
