Snow Sculpting is a popular new winter activity in Heartopia. You can create beautiful snow sculptures, gain experience in the hobby, and decorate your home for the season. Like other special hobbies, it’s not always available—you’ll need to complete several steps to unlock and improve your Snow Sculpting skills in Heartopia.
How to Unlock and Upgrade the Snow Sculpting Hobby
You can start Snow Sculpting by finding Azure during the Winter event. Begin by going to Onsen mountain. You’ll see a brief scene with the mayor, and then Azure will appear nearby after completing the initial quest.
Speak with her to unlock the Fashionwave Hobby Store. After that, buy the Snow Sculpting Hobby for 100 Wishing Stars.
After unlocking this ability, you’ll begin with a quick tutorial on how to sculpt snow. Speak to Azure again, and she’ll provide you with a Snowball Machine and a Snow Sculpting Bench to help you get started, along with three snowballs.
After unlocking the hobby, you can upgrade it using Snow Sculpting Upgrade Tickets.
How Snow Sculpting Works in Heartopia
To begin snow sculpting, you’ll need snowballs. You can’t make them by just grabbing snow from the ground, though. The best way to get snowballs is with the Snowball Machine. Once you place it in your home, you can turn it on and let it automatically create snowballs for you.
When turned on, this machine makes one snowball every hour and can hold as many as twenty snowballs. If you pick it up or relocate it, it will switch off and put all the snowballs it’s storing into your inventory.
Once you’ve gathered snowballs, put the Snow Sculpting Bench inside your house. Using the bench will allow you to place a snowball on it and start creating your sculpture.
Okay, so when the little minigame starts, bright spots pop up on the screen. You’ve gotta click them as fast as you can! The more you hit, the better your sculpture turns out. If you miss too many, or just don’t react quickly enough, you’ll mess it up. Basically, quick reactions mean a higher-quality sculpture – it’s all about timing!
Once you finish sculpting, you’ll get a random snow sculpture and gain some hobby experience. The finished sculpture will then be given a star rating, which determines how valuable it is.
