The Rise of the Golden Idol gets release date

As a seasoned detective with decades of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a thrill at the prospect of diving back into the world of The Golden Idol. Having solved countless cases in my time, I’ve grown accustomed to the peculiar and the unexplained. Yet, there’s something about this relic that continues to intrigue me.

Playstack and Color Gray have officially confirmed that their eagerly awaited sequel, “The Rise of the Golden Idol,” is set for release on November 12th. This upcoming title will be available on PCs, gaming consoles, and mobile devices. The successor to “The Case of the Golden Idol” promises a host of fresh mysteries to unravel, along with optimized gameplay mechanics.

About three centuries since the tragic end of the Cloudsleys, as depicted in The Case of the Golden Idol, the story surrounding the legendary artifact, the Golden Idol, has largely been forgotten and whispered about like a crude, unbelievable tale. However, there are some who aim to alter this state of affairs.

The Rise of the Golden Idol follows a tenacious relic hunter on a quest to unearth the powerful artifact that – if the legend is true – can reshape the world.

In this role, you’ll delve into twenty unusual instances of criminal activity, fatalities, and immorality. Much like The Case of the Golden Idol, you have the autonomy to examine these cases as you see fit, allowing you to develop your own hypotheses.

You should untangle a vast enigma that unfolds through the eras of psychedelics, fax technology, psychic studies, and television listings.

Participants from various walks of life – philosophical explorers, ex-offenders, talk show moderators, and corporate mid-level executives – are all set to contribute to the broader puzzles that unravel. As usual, each character has their unique intentions. Some will have more than just personal goals on their shoulders.

The key features coming to the game included::

  • 20 New Cases to Solve: Unravel a sinister conspiracy in a new modern setting

  • Improved Functionality: Simplified problem-solving featuring adjustable pop-up panels and an autonomous system for gathering relevant keywords.

  • Immersive Art Style: A hand-painted, more modern aesthetic, with richly detailed crime scenes and unsettling character visuals.

During Steam Next Fest, a fresh demonstration has been made accessible, allowing gamers an opportunity to explore the updated gameplay mechanics and visuals, delve into some of the intriguing puzzles along the way. Additionally, a brand-new trailer has been unveiled that you can view below:
