Nioh 3 – Interactive Map (Warring States)

Nioh 3 is the newest game in the popular series developed by Team Ninja. The story centers around Tokugawa Takechiyo as he battles a dangerous Yokai threat across different time periods. This time, players can experience the challenging action-RPG gameplay in two distinct ways: as a Samurai or a Ninja, and can quickly switch between them during combat. The game features three eras, each with its own open-world map that lets you explore freely, though the game does offer suggested levels for each area.

As a huge Nioh 3 fan, I’m so excited about this interactive map! It’s got everything you need to get stronger in each era – all the upgrade materials, those tough-to-find Nigitama, collectibles, and more. The best part is, you can easily turn different categories on or off, so you only see what you’re currently looking for. It’s a lifesaver when you’re on a specific item hunt!

This map is being updated regularly.

What To Focus On In The Warring States Of Nioh 3

The game begins with a short tutorial to teach you the basics of Nioh 3. After that, you’ll be released into the expansive world of the Warring States era. You’ll start near the Tenryu River, and from there, you can explore the large map in any direction you choose. However, each area has a suggested level to help you prepare for the challenges ahead. Here’s a look at the different zones and their recommended levels:

  • Tenryu River (Recommended Level 6 Minimum)
  • Tokaido (Recommended Level 8 Minimum)
  • Hamamatsu (Recommended Level 10 Minimum)
  • Maisaka (Recommended Level 19 Minimum)
  • Lake Sanaru (Recommended Level 19 Minimum)
  • Mikatagahara (Recommended Level 20 Minimum)
  • Hamamatsu Hill (Recommended Level 24 Minimum)
  • Lake Hamana (Recommended Level 25 Minimum)
  • Iinoya (Recommended Level 28 Minimum)
  • Futamata Road (Recommended Level 35 Minimum)
  • Futamata (Recommended Level 36 Minimum)

The starting area for the next Era suggests having Takechiyo at level 50 or above. If players find the new Era too challenging, they can go back to The Warring States to level up first.

Players can easily find gear and weapons by opening chests or defeating enemies. This means they’ll quickly collect enough Amrita to improve their character as they explore each area. Managing Ki is also crucial – think of it as stamina. If it runs out, you won’t be able to attack, dodge, or defend, leaving you vulnerable.

During battles, players can use Elixirs to restore their health. To carry more Elixirs and have each one restore more health, players need to help Kodama find their way home. It’s a good idea to use the in-game map to locate these Kodama, as this will significantly improve a player’s chances of survival.

If you’re trying to level up, keep an eye out for Myths – these are optional missions that give you useful items and Amrita. Also, look for Scampusses, the adorable little orb creatures. They’ll play tag with Takechiyo, guiding him to hidden treasures and earning you skill points. These points let you unlock new abilities for different weapons and improve your Samurai or Ninja skills.
