Will ConcernedApe Ever Make a Stardew Valley 2?
ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, has considered making a direct sequel. In an interview with IGN, he said he’d love to work on Stardew Valley 2. Currently, he and his team are balancing work on the upcoming Update 1.7 for Stardew Valley and their new game, Haunted Chocolatier. However, ConcernedApe revealed he actually started developing a sequel at one point, but paused it to focus on Haunted Chocolatier instead. He wants to recapture the initial inspiration he felt when creating the original Stardew Valley, and he and his team remain enthusiastic about the possibility of a Stardew Valley 2 in the future.
ConcernedApe, the creator of Stardew Valley, has been considering ideas for a sequel, Stardew Valley 2. He has two main concepts: one would be to create a brand new world with entirely new characters, but he worries some fans might prefer the original setting and characters of Pelican Town. His other idea is to keep the existing characters but place them in a new adventure. As a huge Stardew Valley player, I know a lot of us have been loving all the amazing mods the community’s made. We’re all secretly hoping some of those cool features might end up in the main game someday! Everyone’s been wondering if ConcernedApe will use those ideas for Stardew Valley 2, but honestly, a full sequel feels like a long way off. He’s already said Haunted Chocolatier isn’t coming out anytime soon, and with that and continuing updates for Stardew Valley needing his attention, Stardew Valley 2 could be years and years away – if it even happens!
