The Egghead arc demonstrated how much growth the heroes still need before facing the world’s biggest challenges. The Gorosei are presented as the leaders of the World Government, and given their position, it’s clear they possess immense power, which they’ve obtained through their agreements with Imu.

The highest-ranking leaders, known as the Gorosei, have made a secret agreement that grants them immortality and the ability to transform into incredibly powerful Yokai. As seen in the Egghead arc, they are exceptionally strong – even Luffy’s most powerful Gear 5 form couldn’t harm them.

Imu Is The Most Powerful Character In The Entire Story So Far

Imu is a very old and incredibly powerful being who secretly controls the World Government, a position they’ve held since the distant past, known as the Void Century. Fans predicted Imu would be exceptionally strong, and their recent appearance in the Elbaf arc proved those predictions correct, demonstrating both immense spiritual power (Haki) and extraordinarily potent Devil Fruit abilities.

Imu’s abilities, gained from a Devil Fruit, might be the most powerful we’ve seen. They can turn people into loyal followers, grant them incredible strength, and even appear to make those followers immortal through special agreements. Considering all this, it’s highly likely Imu will be the most powerful combatant in the upcoming Final War.
