The Nintendo Switch 2 will get two new exclusive games, Tokyo Scramble and Mario Tennis Fever, releasing on February 11th and 12th. These games, along with the Switch 2’s already varied library, have contributed to the console’s success since its launch last June. With very different styles and gameplay, these upcoming exclusives should continue to build excitement for the system.
The Nintendo Switch is already the company’s most successful console ever, having sold over 155 million units since its release in March 2017. However, its successor, the Switch 2, is quickly becoming even more popular. By the end of 2025, the Switch 2 had sold over 17.3 million units, making it the fastest-selling game console in history. Although some players initially felt the game selection was limited when it launched last June, Nintendo and other developers have significantly expanded the library. Two exclusive games coming out in early February 2026 demonstrate the growing variety of titles available for the Switch 2.
Mario Tennis Fever Launches on February 12
The upcoming Nintendo Switch game Mario Tennis Fever, launching February 12th, is generating a lot of excitement. Developed by the team behind previous Mario Tennis and Mario Golf games, this new title lets players customize their matches with 30 unique Fever Rackets. These rackets add special effects and powerful shots to gameplay. By playing rallies, players can charge up their meters and then use Fever Rackets to bend the rules of tennis. This includes creating a clone of their character, sending obstacles onto the court, covering the field with fire or ice, or even knocking out opponents by depleting their health.

Players can enjoy four different ways to play: Tournament, Adventure, Trial Towers, and a highly customizable mode called Mix it Up, which lets you create unique match rules. Given the success of the previous Mario Tennis game, Mario Tennis Aces (which sold 4.5 million copies by 2022), Mario Tennis Fever is expected to be a hit with fans of Mario sports games.
Tokyo Scramble Launches on February 11
Besides Another Robot Life, the Switch 2 will also get Tokyo Scramble in February. This unique game combines puzzle-solving with action as you try to survive in the underground tunnels beneath Tokyo. You play as Ann, a high school student, and her brother Ray, a dancer, and must use quick thinking to escape mysterious, dinosaur-like creatures called Zinos. To get back to the surface, players need to figure out their enemies’ weaknesses and stay calm. Tokyo Scramble will be available on February 11th.

With less than a week between the announcement and release, it’s uncertain how gamers will respond to its unusual mix of gameplay styles. However, the developer, Adglobe, has worked on popular games like Brave Frontier 2 and Fate/Grand Order, which might give players a reason to be optimistic about its Switch 2 debut.
