It’s been a great time to be a Pokémon fan lately, even without official news! Leaks related to the next generation of games – currently believed to be called Pokémon Wind and Wave – have been popping up online, with some new details emerging in February. These leaks suggest we’ll learn about Gym types, the game’s overall theme, and the different island settings. While it’s important to remember these are unconfirmed, an official announcement for the new Pokémon game is coming soon.

New Pokemon Pinball Game Announced

A real Pokemon pinball machine is coming soon! Stern Pinball, known for creating machines based on popular franchises like The X-Men, John Wick, Star Wars, and The Walking Dead, is adding Pokemon to its lineup. This isn’t a video game, but a physical pinball machine you can play.

Details about the new pinball machine are still scarce – so far, only a glimpse of its shape and a short preview have been shown. The preview video uses the classic Pokemon theme song, suggesting a connection to the games and anime, but this hasn’t been confirmed. There’s no official release date or full reveal yet, but fans can join a mailing list for updates. Stern Pinball machines are commonly found in bars and arcades, offering a potential place to play after release. Alternatively, you can buy one for your home, though they are quite expensive. The manufacturer offers three versions: the Pro model at $6,999, the Premium at $9,699, and a limited-edition version for $12,999, of which only 750 will be made.

Pokemon Pinball Machines Are New, But Could Be Nostalgic

Pinball machines are a beloved classic, and for many Pokemon fans, they offer a similar experience to the long-unavailable Pokemon Pinball. Originally released on Game Boy in 1999, Pokemon Pinball combined the fun of pinball with the core Pokemon gameplay, including a persistent Pokedex that carried over between playthroughs, letting players “Catch ’em All.” A sequel, Pokemon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire, appeared on the GBA, but neither game has been re-released or added to Nintendo Switch Online.
