The latest episodes of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero are creating quite a buzz, as players delve into unique, uncharted narrative paths for eight distinct characters. One of these alternate stories presents an unexpected encounter within the Dragon Ball Universe – none other than Gohan Black! For details on how to access the Gohan Black storyline, take a look at this guide for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles.

In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, players need to understand that they must accomplish a particular mission during one of the battles to unveil Gohan’s branching storyline. Furthermore, some Alternative Paths contain exclusive Sparking! Episodes, which are specially made cutscenes for unique moments. There are many such episodes available for Gohan Black. Completing this entire Storyline will reward players with 100,000 Zeni, a large amount of XP, and additional items.

Is Gohan Black Playable in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?

The answer to this question is no, Gohan Black is not a playable character in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. However, you battle this character several times during Gohan’s alternate storyline.

The Strongest Warrior

In the Super Saga storyline, you can access an alternative path for Gohan when it’s your task to protect Earth from the Frieza Army. Throughout this mission, players should aim to defeat the Frieza Soldier promptly and then trap Frieza. Continuously attack Frieza with a barrage of moves until he recognizes Gohan’s combat abilities.

If Frieza recognizes Gohan, a powerful warrior’s path will be revealed, leading to a thrilling Sparking! Episode. During this episode, Gohan’s innate battle senses will awaken, reactivating his hidden potential. Simultaneously, Frieza decides to exhibit his Golden Form in the fight.

If you manage to conquer Frieza in this battle, neither Goku nor Vegeta will show up to save Earth. Despite feeling he’s grown weak over time, Gohan requests Piccolo for training. Additionally, he journeys to the Realm of the Kai’s to learn and strengthen other aspects of his abilities.

Gohan’s Growth

Because of this training, Gohan has gained sufficient strength to join the Universe 6 versus Universe 7 tournament, facing off against the renowned assassin, Hit, in the process.

The battle between the two juggernauts, Hit and Gohan, becomes a sensation across the other Universes, with many Supreme Kais gaining interest in Gohan. Even Vegeta acknowledges Gohan’s power jump after seeing his performance in the Tournament.

A Change in Timeline

Because Gohan’s development causes additional alterations in the timeline, it diverges even more. In this revised timeline, Future Trunks arrives on Earth and encounters Gohan instead of Goku, which is a departure from the original sequence of events as depicted in the series. This marks the start of another “Sparking Episode.

Here Comes Black Gohan

The upcoming Sparking Episode commences with an electrifying scene straight from the game. Here, Black Gohan makes his appearance, chasing after Future Trunks. Your task is to engage in combat with Black Gohan until he’s transported back to his timeline, thereby finishing this mission. In this alternate storyline, Black Gohan has assumed the role previously held by Black Goku and is threatening Future Trunks’ time period with destruction.

In an alternate storyline, the sequence of events mirrors those from the original timeline, but it’s Gohan who takes on the leading role instead of Goku. In this divergent path, Gohan, Vegeta, and Goku journey into the future to face Black Gohan alongside Future Trunks.

Training with Piccolo

After finding himself overpowered by Zamasu and Black Gohan’s strength, Gohan goes back to his own time as per usual events from the canon. Yet, this time around, Piccolo teaches Gohan a new move called the Evil Containment Wave, encouraging him to protect the future timeline.

In this situation, the threesome travels back in time to confront Zamasu and Black Gohan. As they clash, a combined form of Zamasu (Fused Zamasu) is born when the powerful duos (Goku & Gohan, Vegeta & Trunks) pool their strength to combat this eternal adversary. Your objective here is to deplete Fused Zamasu’s health until the fight concludes.

The Sons Take up the Mantle

In response to Zamasu’s body breaking apart, he receives a Father-Son Kamehameha blast. Exhausted by the attack, Goku and Vegeta can no longer continue. Now, it falls upon their sons, Trunks and Gohan, to carry out the remaining task.

You battle Fused Zamasu one last time, and that’s the last fight on this branching path. A new Sparking! Episode plays where Gohan and Trunks use a Dual Masenko to stagger Fused Zamasu. Then Gohan uses the Evil Containment Wave to finish the job, as there’s no Zeno to save the day this time.
