A new trailer for Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Wolverine might suggest that the superhero Daredevil will be featured in the game. This has thrilled fans who’ve been hoping to see Daredevil in Sony’s action-packed PlayStation games. While Marvel’s Wolverine doesn’t have a firm release date, the developers expect it to launch in the fall of 2026.
Fans have been eager to see Daredevil appear in Insomniac’s Marvel games, and the developers have subtly hinted at his presence in all three Marvel’s Spider-Man titles. While not directly appearing, the law offices of Nelson and Murdock have been featured in each game, with small details changing over time. For example, players spotted portraits of Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, the office briefly had an eviction notice before it was fixed with a patch. This has led many to believe Daredevil’s story is unfolding behind the scenes. With Marvel’s Wolverine in development, there’s a good chance we’ll finally get a proper introduction to the character and learn what’s been happening with him – something many fans would love to see.
Daredevil May Appear in Marvel’s Wolverine
Insomniac Games recently shared a brief teaser for Marvel’s Wolverine on Twitter, along with a playful quote: “Claws? What’s that, some kind of fancy lawyer lingo?” While it’s a small hint, fans think the developer might be subtly suggesting another popular Marvel character will appear in the game. Daredevil is the most popular guess, as Matt Murdock has been mentioned in other Insomniac Marvel games. However, some fans also believe it could be She-Hulk, who is another well-known lawyer superhero in the Marvel universe.
She-Hulk and Daredevil are already established in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, each with their own Disney+ shows and even a crossover appearance in She-Hulk. While She-Hulk only had one season, Daredevil: Born Again is coming to Disney+ with a second season in March. Adding either character to the upcoming Insomniac game would be a unique choice, especially since most of the characters revealed so far appear to be mutants.

Okay, so everyone got super hyped when Insomniac Games posted that little quote, and a lot of us immediately started hoping it meant Daredevil might show up in the new Marvel’s Wolverine game! But, Insomniac quickly responded, saying it was ‘just a pun.’ Some fans are taking that as a definite ‘no’ to Daredevil, but honestly, I think they’re just trying to keep everything under wraps until they’re ready to reveal it. Either way, I’m expecting we’ll find out a lot more in the next few months. The game isn’t available for pre-order yet, but I’ve already wishlisted it on the PlayStation Store – can’t wait!
Although we can’t predict the future, Haluk Mentes, head of Marvel Games, has said Marvel plans to continue its partnership with Insomniac Games for a long time. Many fans are hoping for a Daredevil game, but there’s no official confirmation that one is being developed. Previously, a security incident at Insomniac Games hinted at a possible standalone Venom game, but the company hasn’t publicly acknowledged working on such a project. With more games likely on the way and Marvel’s Wolverine set to release later this year, fans are generally excited about what’s next for both Marvel and Insomniac Games.
