Capcom and Panasonic have teamed up to create a special neck speaker for the upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, designed to heighten the immersive experience. With the game launching on February 27th, Capcom has been consistently sharing news and details. They’ve addressed concerns like the absence of a collector’s edition, brought back popular features from older games, and blended different gameplay styles. It’s clear Capcom is aiming for something fresh with this eleventh main installment in the Resident Evil series, focusing on how the game feels as much as how it’s played.
The Resident Evil series has always had a lot of merchandise, like statues and collectibles – it’s typical for popular games. Usually, these items are just for show and don’t impact how you play the game. For example, the Resident Evil Requiem Amiibo and even the unusual chainsaw controller for Resident Evil 4 didn’t change much about the gameplay itself. However, with Resident Evil Requiem coming soon, it looks like the game might be doing things differently, with accessories that could significantly alter the player’s experience.

Panasonic and Capcom have teamed up to release a special edition SoundSlayer neck speaker inspired by the upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem. It will be available in Japan starting February 27th, the same day as the game. This new speaker builds on Panasonic’s existing SoundSlayer line and features the game’s logo and a striking blood-red color. It also includes a unique ‘horror mode’ that boosts bass and creates a wider, more immersive soundscape – designed to heighten the feeling of suspense. Even the speaker’s menus are styled after those in Resident Evil Requiem.
It’s really disappointing that the Resident Evil Requiem edition of the SoundSlayer speaker is only available in Japan, because it sounds like an amazing addition to the lineup. This special edition works just like other SoundSlayer models, but comes with extra horror-themed features. This means you can enhance the terrifying experience of Resident Evil Requiem, but also enjoy games like Silent Hill 2 with a whole new level of immersion. With plenty of ways to customize the experience, the Resident Evil Requiem SoundSlayer seems like the future of truly scary games. Especially when combined with features like Ink Ribbons and limited saves in Resident Evil Requiem (on the hardest difficulty), this unique accessory could completely change how you play horror games.
While other SoundSlayer models are good for horror games, this one is special because it’s designed specifically for the new Resident Evil game. This speaker is unlike anything else Resident Evil has released before, and it almost makes up for the lack of a collector’s edition. It not only looks great, but it changes how you experience the fear in Resident Evil. Instead of just hearing and seeing the horror, this neck speaker lets you feel every scare with vibrations against your body. With Resident Evil Requiem promising to be the biggest game in the series – combining intense action with creeping dread – this themed neck speaker is the perfect way to play.
