Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be getting a price reduction on both PlayStation 5 and PC starting later in February. The game currently costs $70, so if you haven’t bought it yet, it might be worth waiting a little longer to save some money.
Shortly after Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is coming to the Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S, a discount was revealed. The Switch 2 version was shown during the Nintendo Direct presentation on February 5th, and the Xbox Series X/S version was confirmed right after. Both versions will be available starting June 3rd, and pre-orders are open now. Those who pre-order will receive special in-game items, including the Posh Chocobo Summoning Materia.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Will Be Permanently Cheaper Starting February 9
Okay, so everyone’s been raving about Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – it won a ton of awards last year, and for good reason! But here’s some awesome news for those of us who haven’t picked it up yet: Square Enix just announced a price drop! Starting February 9th, the standard version is going to be permanently $49.99 on both PS5 and PC. They’re matching the price point for when the game comes out on Switch 2 and Xbox, which is cool. And it’s not just the standard edition – the Digital Deluxe Edition is dropping to $69.99 (down from $89.99), and if you want both Remake Intergrade and Rebirth, the Digital Twin Pack will be $79.99. Seriously, a great time to jump into this amazing RPG!
With Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade currently priced at $39.99 on all platforms, the upcoming sale on the Digital Twin Pack will offer a $10 discount for new players once Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is on sale. The Deluxe Edition of the FF7 Remake and Rebirth Digital Twin Pack will then be available for $99.99. Additionally, the PS5 and PC versions of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will receive Streamlined Progression – a feature already available on the Switch 2 and Xbox versions – later this year.
Streamlined Progression is a new feature in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that lets players activate up to 13 different cheats to simplify gameplay. These cheats can provide things like unlimited Gil and healing items, or even make every attack deal maximum damage. This feature will be added to the PS5 and PC versions of the game in a patch expected to release around June 3, coinciding with the launch of the game on Switch 2 and Xbox.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Packs a Lot of Content For The Price
If you’re thinking of buying Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, it’s worth waiting until February 9th. The game will be discounted by $20, making it a fantastic value for a huge RPG experience. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth offers tons of content – including Chocobo racing and unique side missions – and its story takes a different path than the original Final Fantasy 7. Expect to spend between 50 and 100 hours completing it, making the new $50 price tag a great deal for gamers on any platform.
A sale on Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is happening at a great moment for fans of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake series. As rumors about the third installment of Final Fantasy 7 Remake spread online, excitement for the Final Fantasy franchise is growing. We’ll have to wait and see when Square Enix reveals more details about the next chapter in the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth story.
