Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Future Trunks

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Future Trunks

As a seasoned Time Patroller and a close friend of Trunks, I found myself torn between the two paths presented before us. The path of Vegeta, my cold-hearted rival turned brother-in-arms, or the path of Gohan, the humble and gentle son of the legendary Goku.

In the latest narrative of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, players can embark on an exciting journey called “Episode Battles,” revisiting legendary moments from the anime and discovering fresh, unprecedented situations. This guide to Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles is designed to provide clarity on the multiple storylines for Future Trunks.

In Future Trunks’ Dragon Ball adventures, Sparking Zero Episodes feature multiple storyline options, with two of them granting a collection of Super Dragon Balls each. It’s essential for players to understand that finishing these paths will result in extra perks like Zeni, experience points, and assorted items. This guide will illuminate all the available branches within Trunks’ Episode Battles and provide instructions on how to access them.

Shining Hope

In the mission known as ‘Twisted World Mission’, while fighting against Zamasu and Black Goku, you’ll encounter a new storyline for Future Trunks. To unlock the ‘Shining Hope’ path for him, it is essential to swiftly deplete Zamasu’s health. An effective strategy is to execute combos that will eventually allow you to enter Sparking! Mode. After doing so, continue to pummel Zamasu with punches until only one Ki bar remains. It is at this point that you should use Future Trunks’ Super Attack.

If you successfully defeat both characters within the specified timeframe, a fresh situation unfolds. In this instance, Trunks chooses not to engage in battle against Zamasu and Black Goku, opting instead to accompany Vegeta and Goku. During their departure, Trunks learns about the Evil Containment Wave from Piccolo.

In the future, Trunks goes back to his timeline where he battles the eternal Zamasu. Should Trunks manage to overpower him, he seals Zamasu within a container using the Evil Containment Wave. Following this, Trunks teams up with Goku and Vegeta to take on Black.

Desire to Protect

Despite appearing unperturbed, Black asserts that he has the capability to execute the Zero Mortal plan on his own and can easily find another Zamasu using the time rings. It’s necessary for you to defeat Super Saiyan Rose Goku to bring an end to Zamasu’s destructive rule.

In the future, Trunks and Black engage in a massive energy exchange. Vegeta, supporting his son, jumps into the fray. After a heartfelt pep talk from Vegeta, Trunks finds the strength he needed. Eventually, Trunks emerges victorious, marking the first time a mortal defeated a deity.

In the new timeline, Trunks gives Zamasu’s container to Supreme Kai Gowasu of Universe 10, and from then on, he resides peacefully in this era while consistently practicing his training regimen. Interestingly, we don’t encounter Fused Zamasu within this timeline because Trunks manages to imprison him prior to Black and Zamasu fusing together. Consequently, Super Vegito does not make an appearance either.

Trunk’s Choice

either ‘Remain in the Present’ or ‘Return to Your Timeline’. Choosing the latter will follow the events as depicted in the anime, thereby concluding Trunks’ Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles.

If you choose to remain, Future Trunks will request Vegeta for one final training session, and Gohan and Piccolo will participate too. This endeavor is called ‘Striving to be the Strongest in the Universe’. For Trunks to accomplish this mission, he must display his abilities impressively to all three combatants.

To Become Strongest in the Universe

There are two possible outcomes for Future Trunks’ mission:

Inherited Pride

After being unlocked, a fresh cutscene unfolds, featuring Gohan acknowledging that Future Trunks surpasses him in strength. He admits that even with his Potential Unlocked, he might not be strong enough to defeat Trunks. Following this conversation with Gohan, Future Trunks chooses to extend his stay in the present for a while longer. A short time later, Bulma becomes pregnant.

At the same moment, the Tournament of Power begins, Goku attempts to persuade Vegeta to be part of Team Universe 7. Initially, Vegeta declines because he’s worried about leaving Bulma behind. However, when Whis uses his divine powers to instantly deliver a baby, Vegeta changes his mind and decides to join the team.

In the given scene, Trunks affectionately hugs his sister, Bulla, for the first time. Overhearing a chat between Gohan and Yamcha, he learns that the victor of this tournament can make a wish with the Super Dragon Balls. This piece of information sparks curiosity in Trunks.

Future Trunks Join the Tournament of Power

In the future, Trunks elects to enter the Tournament of Power, with the aim of employing the Super Dragon Balls to restore his deceased relatives and friends from his timeline. He spars with Vegeta to master combat without a sword since weapons are disallowed. Eventually, the day of the competition arrives.

In this situation, Gohan continues to lead Universe 7. Similar to before, Goku and Vegeta depart from the group in search of stronger combatants. Here, you’re given an option: ‘Remain with Gohan’ or ‘Assist Vegeta’. Both decisions grant a collection of Super Dragon Balls, so once you complete the first choice, use a wish with Super Shenron and then rejoin for the second choice.

Help Vegeta

Helping Vegeta requires engaging in combat against the Saiyans from Universe 6. Notably, Cabba and Trunks share a significant moment during this encounter. Subsequently, the following fight is against Kale and Caulifla. Defeat them, and Toppo will intervene.

In a fresh installment of Sparking!, Vegeta joins forces with his son, Trunks, to take on Toppo. With unwavering determination, they face off against Toppo’s God of Destruction abilities. Simultaneously, Goku and Android 17 make the ultimate sacrifice to free Jiren from the battlefield. With no other fighters remaining from Universe 7, Vegeta and Trunks emerge victorious, securing their universe’s survival.

When it’s time for Trunks to make a wish using the Super Dragon Balls, he recognizes that restoring all the destroyed universes was the sole course of action due to Vegeta’s influence on him. Following this path will lead to the resolution known as “Inherited Pride.

Stay with Gohan

If you decide to stick with Gohan, it means you’ll face Kale and Caulifla once more. This time, Kale loses control and engages in combat with Goku. Following this fight, you’ll need to overcome Toppo and Dyspo. They will surprise attack Future Trunks, but Android 17 and Android 18 will step in to help him. At that moment, Trunks recognizes these Androids are unlike those from his time, as they exhibit empathy for the fighters, their families, and their universes.

18 from Android lands a selfless move to eliminate Dyspo, while Jiren disposes of Kefla. Toppo’s handling is taken care of by Future Trunks and Vegeta, but Vegeta later succumbs to a blow from Jiren. This leaves the stage for Jiren against Earth’s fighters, where an intense clash unfolds. Regrettably, our heroes struggle to keep up with Jiren. In the final breaths, Gohan selflessly gives himself to save Trunks, which infuriates Future Trunks and propels him into a battle with Jiren.

In the final showdown, Trunks, Goku, and Android 17 manage to defeat Jiren, largely due to Android 17’s brave action. The fight concludes, and Future Trunks wishes to restore all the affected universes before returning to his own timeline. By teaming up with Gohan, players earned the “Embarking Toward Tomorrow” ending. Furthermore, since Trunks fights in the tournament, there’s no requirement for a 10th combatant, and Goku avoids needing to ask Frieza for assistance.
