Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles Guide: Frieza

As a long-time follower of the Dragon Ball series, I must say that it’s fascinating to see Frieza’s evolution, not just physically but also strategically. His newfound gratitude towards the Saiyans for pushing him to attain his Golden Form is a testament to their power and resilience.

In the latest gaming experience, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s Episode Battles, players can relive memorable scenes from the beloved anime and uncover untold narratives as well. This mode in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles will provide a more comprehensive look into the various storyline divergences of Frieza.

Users should be aware that there are two distinct categories of storylines: alternate conclusions and additional routes. Finishing these storylines can grant you extra perks, like bonus Zeni, XP, items, and more. Special scenarios called Sparking! Episodes, which are exclusive cutscenes crafted for these unique instances, will also play. This tutorial will point out all the alternate endings and additional routes in Frieza’s Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Episode Battles, and explain how to access them.

Immortal Body

In the ‘A Blast from the Past’ mission, an alternative conclusion for Frieza’s Sparking Zero Episode battles is introduced as ‘Immortal Body’. To access this alternate ending, you must defeat all opponents prior to Goku amassing enough energy to unleash a Spirit Bomb.

If you swiftly conquer all opponents, Goku will find himself without allies as he gathers energy for the Spirit Bomb, leaving him no choice but to engage in direct combat. Frieza overpowers him effortlessly, leading to the deaths of his friends and son on Planet Namek. With everything settled, Frieza then seeks out the Dragon Balls with the intention of becoming immortal. Since Goku perishes before his companions, he fails to transform into a Super Saiyan in this scenario.

Fall of the Saiyans

The next Sparking Zero alternate ending for Frieza’s Episode Battles arrives during the ‘Legendary Super Saiyan’ Mission. You must complete a hidden objective to unlock the ‘Fall of the Saiyans’ ending. Players must defeat Frieza before he shows his Full Power transformation to trigger this ending.

If you beat Goku without transforming into Frieza’s Full Power Transformation, a new Sparking! Episode is unlocked. In this new scenario, Goku is cornered by Frieza and uses one last Kamehameha to finish the job. However, that’s not enough to defeat Frieza, and Goku dies.

Frieza finally gets what he wants and manages to wipe out the Saiyan race. He declares himself the strongest in the universe, expanding the Frieza Force’s hold all over the cosmos. Frieza also loses interest in becoming immortal after defeating Goku. However, he does start training as he doesn’t want to drop from the top spot.

Rematch with Goku

In the ‘Frieza’s Sparking Zero’ episodes, you could discover an additional ending by achieving the ‘Frieza Invades Earth’ mission. To unlock the ‘Goku vs Frieza Rematch’ ending, you need to fulfill a secret goal. This hidden goal requires you to vanquish Future Trunks before the battle concludes.

If you manage to overcome Future Trunks in this battle before it concludes, an entirely different sequence of events will unfold. Trunks was defeated during his fight with Frieza, which resulted in Goku being attacked immediately upon his return from Yardrat. With his superior power, Frieza was able to defeat Goku, even though he had transformed into a Super Saiyan. Once victorious, Frieza went on to exterminate every mortal on Earth and expanded his reign of terror throughout the galaxy.

Frieza Joins the Fray

The final plot twist is a separate storyline for Frieza titled ‘Frieza Takes Action’. To access this scenario, gamers need to defeat Goku and Vegeta before Frieza’s Golden Transformation is reverted during the mission where Frieza is revived.

If you manage to defeat both Goku and Vegeta before Frieza’s Golden transformation is reversed, a thrilling new episode unfolds. In this scenario, Frieza subdues Goku, Vegeta, and the planet itself, preparing to annihilate them all. Just at the brink of destruction, Beerus intervenes, preventing Frieza from obliterating Earth.

Frieza’s Conditions

Frieza wonders why a God of Destruction would preserve life, and Beerus answers that he finds the planet useful in some way. Beerus then asks Frieza if he’s grateful for his new Golden Form, as it was the Earth’s inhabitants who helped him reach it. Frieza acknowledges this is true; without the Saiyans to overcome, he wouldn’t have managed to attain this form.

Frieza consents to not annihilate Earth, but has set two stipulations for this agreement. Firstly, Beerus must abstain from meddling with any operations conducted by the Frieza Force. Secondly, Frieza will employ the Dragon Balls on Earth to resurrect deceased members of his force. Beerus accepts these terms and acknowledges that Frieza is currently the second most powerful being in the universe, surpassed only by him.

Currently, Frieza is gearing up his resurrected troops for training – a roster that encompasses every adversary Goku and Vegeta vanquished previously, including the elite Ginyu Force.

Tournament of Power

Later on, Beerus encounters Frieza and proposes that he participate in the Tournament of Power. However, Frieza poses a condition: he wants to select some members for Universe 7 from among Dodoria and Zarbon, King Cold, The Ginyu Force, and Cooler.

The choice really doesn’t change much. Universe 7 always ends up winning the tournament; only the battles leading up to them are different, along with some interesting exchanges between the characters.

Choosing your Teammate(s)

  • Choosing Dodoria and Zarbon will lead you to clash with Kakunsa, Bergamo and Frost. Dodoria and Zarbon will defeat the rest of the enemies, and Frieza will have the energy to defeat Jiren to save Universe 7.
  • If you choose Cooler, you fight against Hit. After winning against the Ultimate Hitman, the brothers dominate the Tournament of Power, defeating all other Universes.
  • If you choose King Cold, he will try to recruit the Saiyans from Universe 6 to the Frieza Force. You will fight Cabba, Kale, Caulifla, and the fused Kefla on this path.
  • Lastly, if you choose the Ginyu Force, Frieza will recognise a similarity between them, the Pride Troopers and Universe 2’s Ribrianne, Kakunsa and Rosie. The similarity is none other than their fighting poses. Frieza proceeds to insult the posers and then ends up fighting Ribrianne and Toppo.
