How to Find All Warring States Scampusses in Nioh 3

Throughout Nioh 3, you’ll find Scampusses – little, cat-like creatures hidden in various areas. If you encounter one, you can pet it, which will cause it to roll away. Following a Scampuss and petting it again rewards you with a Samurai or Ninja Lock, as well as a Scampuss Furball.

You can find Scampuss Furballs and trade them to the Giant Scampuss to learn the Ninjutsu skill, which lets you transform into a giant Scampuss. The following guide shows where to find all the Scampusses in Warring States in Nioh 3.

How to Find All Warring States Scampusses in Nioh 3

Tenryu River

  • Recommended Level: 6

Starting at Prospect Hill Shrine, head south on the road and turn left when you reach the intersection. You’ll see a Scampuss nearby, which marks the entrance to a narrow passage you’ll need to duck to get through.

Tokaido

  • Recommended Level: 8

This is located right next to the Forest of Souls Shrine, in the middle of the region.

Tokaido

This is located right next to the Tokaido Shrine, to the northeast of the region.

Hamamatsu

  • Recommended Level: 10

Once you’ve completed the Crucible mission and beaten Jakotsu-Baba, quickly travel to Otemon Gate. From there, head south until you discover the Scampuss.

Lake Sanaru

  • Recommended Level: 19

Start at the Maisaka Post Shrine in Maisaka and head north to reach Lake Sanaru. Once you enter the lake, immediately turn left and cross the bridge – you’ll find the Scampuss there. Following the path will lead you to the top of the Shrine, where you can collect Kagutsuchi’s Magatama, an item needed to complete the blacksmith’s quest.

Mikatagahara

  • Recommended Level: 20

From the Otsuri Bridge Shrine by Lake Sanaru, head north to reach Mikatagahara. Then, simply follow the path straight ahead, and you’ll soon see the Scampuss.

Lake Hamana

  • Recommended Level: 25

You’ll find this right at the entrance to Lake Hamana, but it won’t show up until you’ve finished the ‘Disaster at Lake Hamana’ myth first. I learned that the hard way!

Iinoya

Starting at the Iinoya Pass Shrine, continue on the road and take a left. At the intersection, turn left again to find a path heading south. You’ll discover a Spirit Vein there, which will lead you to the Scampuss.
