Dreams are a really satisfying part of Heartopia, particularly if you like creative activities such as puzzles, writing, or making music. Once you unlock them, Dreams give you goals to work towards over time, encouraging you to visit Heartopia every day. Completing these Dreams also earns you helpful items and in-game currency.
Okay, so upgrading your Dream in Heartopia can be a little tricky, and it’s easy to get lost about what you need to do to actually level it up. I remember getting stuck on the town guide quest that asks you to get your Dream to Level 2! This guide is going to walk you through exactly how to do it, which is super helpful.
How to Upgrade a Dream in Heartopia
If you’re at D.G. Member Level 16 or higher, you’ll have access to the Dreams feature. You can find Dreams in the Dreams tab, where you can start with Puzzle and Writing Dreams. Music Dreams become available when you reach D.G. Member Level 17.
If you’re working on the town guide quest and want to upgrade a Dream to Level 2, the Puzzle Dream is the easiest to start with. Unlike Writing or Music, it doesn’t require much help from other players and you can finish it all on your own if you prefer.
As a Puzzle Dream player, I’ve figured out that you get better by collecting Dream Points. You earn these points just by solving puzzles and finishing the things the game asks you to do – it’s a really simple system!
To improve your Puzzle Dream score, you’ll need to reach 500 points, and that takes consistent play. The key is to solve a variety of puzzles – simply repeating the same puzzle won’t get you there.
Where to Get Puzzles
Most puzzles are bought from Ka Ching. She gets new puzzles in every day, so it’s a good idea to visit her shop in Heartopia daily. You’ll find a wide variety of puzzles there!
- Small, Medium, and Large puzzles can usually be bought with coins
- Some Large and XL puzzles might require Wishing Stars.
If you want to save your stars, start by completing puzzles that cost coins. You can get to Level 2 just by doing those.
Completing and Placing Puzzles Correctly
Once you buy a puzzle:
- Place it inside your home.
- Complete the puzzle.
- Store it back in your inventory or place it on your wall.
Only fully completed puzzles contribute to your Dream progress. Placing puzzles that aren’t finished won’t help you advance.
You can also help friends with their puzzles. This will contribute to your Dream progression.
After completing enough puzzles and reaching the required Dream points:
- Open the Dreams menu to confirm your upgrade.
- Visit Annie to complete any related Dream milestone or town guide quest.
- Once done, your Dream will upgrade to Level 2. You’ll then unlock more rewards and progress paths in Heartopia.
