GTA Online’s New Zombie Mode Brings 1.2 Million Players to North Yankton

GTA Online’s New Zombie Mode Brings 1.2 Million Players to North Yankton

As a dedicated GTA fan since its inception, I must say that the recent Halloween event in GTA Online – Ludendorff Cemetery Survival – has been an absolute thrill ride! It’s like Rockstar listened to our collective cries for a zombie survival mode and delivered it with a cherry on top.

A short while ago, Rockstar unveiled this year’s Halloween special event in Grand Theft Auto Online – Ludendorff Cemetary Survival. This is a nostalgic throwback that finally gives GTA 5 enthusiasts the zombie survival mode they’ve longed for over a decade, and it has been met with widespread approval by the gaming community.

In the past few hours, the number of simultaneous players on Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode soared beyond 1.2 million. This clearly demonstrates that even after over a decade, there’s an immense appetite among Grand Theft Auto fans for additional content.

Fight Them Back

Among the standout experiences in GTA Online’s decade-long journey is the cooperative thrill of Ludendorff Cemetery Survival mode. In this scenario, players collaborate and form alliances to confront relentless waves of ravenous zombies. By utilizing an array of weapons and boosts, they stand a fighting chance against the undead horde.

This new feature bears a striking resemblance to the Undead Nightmare DLC from Red Dead, as it shares the same gameplay style.

Based on GTAO Stats, the Ludendorff Cemetary Survival map saw a significant increase in plays over the weekend, reaching a total of 2.6 million – with approximately 1.2 million being unique plays. The accuracy of this data might be questionable, but a quick look at social media and streaming platforms gives a clear indication.

One could express it as: We’re nearing the end of the life cycle for GTA Online and Grand Theft Auto V, with anticipation building for the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6 to take center stage over the next ten years or so. It’s been nearly a year since the initial trailer for GTA 6 was unveiled, and fans are eagerly waiting for additional details about the game.

We may see a new trailer revealed at The Game Awards in December – but don’t quote me on that.
