This quest isn’t for the faint-hearted or the wallet-light; it requires strategy, patience, and a touch of audacity.
Among the many exploration quests in Throne and Liberty, Won! Golem’s Manastone is one of the more interesting ones players can come across. Instead of simply hunting monsters or collecting resources, this one will have players participating in a secret (and very illegal) auction in hopes of winning a rare Golem’s manastone.
In essence, triumphing in the auction may not be as straightforward as some participants might assume. The competition is likely to be intense, and if you aim to acquire valuable materials for enhancing equipment within Throne and Liberty, it’s crucial to understand how you can obtain that manastone.
Won! Golem’s Manastone Quest Walkthrough
To embark on your journey, find and chat with the Golem Craftsman located southeast of the Abandoned Stonemason Town marker. He should appear on your map once you enter the area. The craftsman will guide you to acquire a Golem’s Manastone from an auction. To accomplish this task, follow these steps:
- Get a Flawless Crystal from a Giant Crystal Scorpion.
- Enter the Secret Auction under the Wrecked Quarry Wheel.
- Join and win the Secret Auction.
- Return to the Golem Crafter.
Giant Crystal Scorpion Locations
In your game, you’ll find potential locations where the colossal Crystal Scorpions might appear. These creatures resemble the rare and sparsely-spawned Giant Goblin Butchers from Throne and Liberty. To locate them, keep yourself near one of these areas and search for a red skull symbol on your map to pinpoint their position.
Scorpions aren’t particularly challenging foes. Use your top abilities against them, and they’ll fall quickly. However, take care not to provoke excessive numbers of nearby creatures unless you possess powerful Area of Effect (AOE) skills.
Entering And Winning The Secret Auction
The auction will be held near the large wheel at the Wrecked Quarry, which is north of the ghost town where stone was once masoned. To locate the entrance, follow the tracks left by the mining carts. Once there, speak with the gatekeeper. You’ll then give him the Perfect Crystal you obtained from the Giant Scorpion made of crystal, and in return, you’ll get a unique currency that will be used for the auction.
Similar to the Daybreak Treasure quest, success won’t come from blind force in this auction. There are numerous items up for grabs, but only the Golem’s Manastone is crucial for your goal. Since the auctioneer isn’t revealing which item is being sold at the moment, there’s a risk you might bid on something other than what you need.
Here, you need to wait until the auctioneer says the following line:
- “This, my friends, is a precious item. It’s an enormous concentrate made of magic.”
After this call is made, it’s essential that you become the highest bidder to secure the win. However, keep in mind that everyone’s experience may differ. The bidding limit is set at 50 Mica. If only one other person increases their bid, you’ll acquire the Golem’s Manastone if you were the second bidder. In all other cases, wait for the bid to reach 40 Mica before placing your own bid.
