BSG Celebrates 10th Anniversary by Ignoring Tarkov’s PvE Community

As a long-time Tarkov survivor who’s spent countless hours navigating the treacherous landscapes of PvE, it’s disheartening to see Battlestate Games celebrate their anniversary with such a lopsided approach. The 25% discount on Escape from Tarkov is appreciated, but the exclusive freebies for PvP players feel like a slap in the face.

As a passionate gamer who’s been hooked on Battlestate Games for a decade now, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement and dismay as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. The sale on Escape from Tarkov and the free in-game items are a welcome treat, but it’s disheartening to learn that these perks are exclusively for PvP players. It seems like a missed opportunity to overlook the dedicated PvE community who have been just as integral to the game’s success over the years. Here’s hoping Battlestate Games considers our contributions and rectifies this situation in the future.

Over the past few months, the feeling towards Tarkov’s PvE environment has flourished significantly, as players increasingly resort to this mode as a refuge from the persistent ‘cheating epidemic’ that has long affected the overall gaming experience.

You Get Nothing

To mark its 10-year anniversary, Battlestate Games has temporarily reduced the prices by 25% on all versions and enhancements for Escape from Tarkov. However, it’s important to note that the ongoing 50% reduction when upgrading from Edge of Darkness to The Unheard Edition cannot be combined, meaning you won’t be able to get The Unheard Edition with a total discount of 75%.

This two-day sale is joined by a stack of free in-game items:

The drawback here is that the items are reserved exclusively for those playing PvP. It’s a slap in the face to anyone who has purchased PvE separately or upgraded to The Unheard Edition just to get access to the mode, which is becoming increasingly popular.

Initially seen as taboo, an increasing number of individuals have come to find it far more enjoyable not to have malicious players hinder their experience in Tarkov, as they master the game instead.

Many have suggested it’s Battlestate Games’ attempt to shoehorn players back into the world of PvP.
