The colonization aspect, the unique civilizations, and the strategic depth were unparalleled in its era, making every match a thrilling experience.


Age of Empires 3, launched in 2005, has been a unique addition to the long-running real-time strategy series due to its emphasis on European colonization. Unfortunately, this particular era is drawing to a close as the original version is being withdrawn from sale and will no longer receive updates. As per an update on its Steam page, this decision was made because the technology used in the game has become outdated, leading to it being removed from digital marketplaces on October 10 and the discontinuation of multiplayer functionality on October 30. Despite this, players who own the game can still experience the single-player campaign, but the absence of cooperative play has left many fans disappointed.
