Metaphor: ReFantazio - Mores Task Chapter Four: Turmoil Guide

As a seasoned veteran of the world of Metaphor: ReFantazio, I can’t help but feel a sense of excitement when it comes to unlocking and mastering new Archetypes. The General Archetype is no exception. With its unique blend of offense and support, this Archetype offers a versatile playstyle that’s sure to keep any strategy enthusiast on their toes.

In the game Metaphor: ReFantazio, More will focus on discovering and activating new groups of Characters, often referred to as Archetypes. The goal is to enhance these characters, enabling players to explore various aspects of the game world. Since some Archetypes are only unveiled by advancing the storyline, it’s essential to keep an eye out for hidden ones that might be missed if you don’t know where to search.

In the initial stages of More’s adventures, players will often be tasked with locating and activating missable companions, including their character types. His fourth assignment serves as an illustration. Although The General isn’t a primary character type, he belongs to a clan that some gamers might not have previously encountered.

How To Unlock The General Archetype In Metaphor: ReFantazio

The General Archetype belongs to the family of Commander Archetypes, originating from the character Bardon, who serves as the captain of the guard in Martira. You can’t recruit Bardon as a follower until after you solve the mystery of the kidnappings in Martira. Once that plotline is concluded, you can find Bardon in the central city square near the fountain, with his back towards the path leading to your gauntlet runner.

After activating the Commander Archetype, raise it to its highest level, which is level 20. Additionally, advance Bardon to rank 3. When this is achieved, players will have the option to awaken into a General with the party member who has a max-ranked Commander. To fulfill More’s request, elevate the General to level 15. This can be effortlessly accomplished by:

  • Defeating Elementa.
  • Using Hero’s Leaves Of Light.

The General Archetype exhibits a well-balanced blend of offense and support, initiating with the highly beneficial ability known as Matarukaja, enhancing your entire team’s attack power. It also acquires the skills Icy Strike, Frigid Fortress Tactic, and Megido, providing suitable offensive attacks when additional force is required. Its distinctive skill is Shelter Formation, which transports all allies to the rear line and fortifies their defense by two levels, making it one of the rare abilities that grants multiple ranks simultaneously.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but be impressed by the exceptional Archetype I’ve come across! What truly sets it apart is its remarkable skill, Assault Beacon, which boosts all party stats for an incredible three turns, all at just 26 MP. This gem is simply unparalleled in the mid-game phase, making it one of the most effective buff skills in the game. The additional Press Turn icon and MP investment are more than compensated for by its immense utility.

Assault Beacon can be used with an ally Seeker, Knight, or Commander Archetype.
