ARC Raiders Aren’t Happy About Recent Nerf

Players of ARC Raiders are voicing their frustration online with the game’s recent update from February 10th. The update included a reduction in damage for the Trailblazer Grenade against large enemies like the Bastion and Leaper, and many fans are unhappy with this change. Players have been requesting improvements to various weapons, but instead, a popular one was weakened.

Despite its huge success – including winning Best Multiplayer Game at the 2025 Game Awards and selling over 12 million copies – ARC Raiders has faced some challenges. The developers at Embark Studios have consistently released major content updates, but many players are unhappy with how weapons are balanced. Specifically, players feel that freely available weapons are too effective compared to more powerful, unlockable guns like the Bobcat and Bettina, and have been requesting adjustments for weeks.

ARC Raiders’ Trailblazer Nerf Has Angered Fans

Embark Studios has just released update 1.15.0 for ARC Raiders, focusing on bug fixes, improvements, and a new cooperative event called Shared Watch. While weapons remain largely unchanged, the Trailblazer Grenade received a tweak: it now deals more damage to smaller enemies but less to larger ones. Many players feel this change weakens the grenade, as it was most effective against the game’s bigger threats.

Okay, so this new update is really frustrating a lot of us. I’ve been seeing tons of complaints on Reddit and Twitter about how they’ve nerfed some of our favorite weapons. Honestly, I’m getting tired of these constant nerfs too! Guns like the Bettina, Bobcat, and Tempest – some of the rarest in the game – just aren’t performing well anymore. It feels like a lot of people are feeling the same way. Someone even asked why they won’t buff the Bettina or nerf the Stitcher, which is a really good point. It just feels like every patch note is more of the same – they nerfed the Hullcracker before, messed with item prices, and made the big ARCs even harder. I honestly haven’t seen a patch that actually improved anything since the game came out!

Many players feel Embark is focusing too much on weakening items (nerfs) and not enough on strengthening them (buffs). However, the developers have listened to feedback before, notably when they adjusted the controversial Trigger Nade in ARC Raiders. This item had been a problem in player-versus-player combat for weeks because it was easy to make – requiring only processors and crude explosives – and dealt a lot of damage. Embark addressed this earlier this year by changing how the damage decreased with distance, making it more concentrated near the explosion’s center. They also made the item detonate slower, increasing the delay from 0.7 to 1.5 seconds.

Okay, so everyone’s been talking about the Trailblazer changes, but honestly, the bigger drama this week was this new exploit in ARC Raiders. Apparently, it was super easy to duplicate stuff – things like grenades and even those adorable Rubber Ducks! People were going wild. Thankfully, the developers at Embark fixed it pretty quickly, and they’ve warned that anyone who went too crazy with the duplication might face some consequences, which seems fair.
