How to Find All Warring States Chijiko in Nioh 3

In Nioh 3, Chijiko are floating lanterns you can shoot down with a bow or gun. They wander around but pause briefly, giving you time to aim. When you bring them down, you can pet them to receive Ninja or Samurai Locks, and also unlock Transformed Arts. Below is a guide detailing the locations of all 21 Chijiko in the Warring States area of Nioh 3.

How to Find All Warring States Chijiko in Nioh 3

Tenryu River

  • Recommended Level: 6

Starting from the Ikeda Ferry Shrine along the Tokaido road, go north until you see houses. The first Chijiko spirit will be floating above them.

From the Hojo Shrine, head north until you spot the Chijiko.

Hamamatsu

  • Recommended Level: 10

Soon after entering Hamamatsu and reaching the Hamamatsu Post Shrine, you can find this to your left.

Once you’ve completed the Crucible mission and beaten Jakotsu-Baba, you’ll arrive at the top of Hamamatsu Castle. From there, jump down onto the tiled roof and continue descending until you see Chijiko floating within arrow range.

Continue heading west past Maisaka. Don’t go directly to the Maisaka Post; instead, look for a path to the left – that’s where you’ll find this item.

To find the second Chijiko in Maisaka, head south to the area near the Haunting Caves.

Once you’ve defeated the enemies inside the ship’s base, you can climb on some boxes to spot and destroy the Chijiko.

You’ll find this spot right beside the bridge at the entrance to Mikatagahara. It’s easily photographed from the Otsuri Bridge Shrine, which is located next to the bridge.

Head north on the road until you find the enemy base. Once you’ve dealt with that, search the surrounding area for the Chijiko.

Once you’ve gotten the last collectible, go northeast and follow the path to the right. You’ll see the Chijiko on your left.

This time, head left and continue forward until you’re near the Mikatagahara Junction Shrine. The collectible will be on your left just before you reach the shrine.

Travel to the far northwest of the area, carefully navigating past the enemies. Turn left onto the path towards Iinoya, and you’ll discover it along the way.

In the story of the Disaster at Lake Hamana, you’ll discover this item at Horie Castle.

From the Temple Ruins, go east to find the Sengen Waterfall Shrine. Then, head south to locate Chijiko.

After getting the last collectible, go south and then turn left. You’ll find the third Chijiko in this area, just before you reach the Crucible Wraith.

Starting at the Silver Grass Meadow Shrine, go east and you’ll find a path to the Chijiko.

You’ll find this collectible near Firefly Forest. You can quickly travel to the Juji Fortress (East) Shrine and then head east to get closer to the forest and find it.
