The “Become a Junior Crafter” quest is available very early in Starsand Island, and it’s a great idea to complete it right away. It will teach you about all the materials you can gather there. Plus, you’ll get rollerblades at the end, which make traveling around the island much faster!
I was so excited to get those skates, and I wanted to share a complete guide I found for the “Become a Junior Crafter” quest in Starsand Island! It walks you through everything, and I’ve included details on all the rewards you get for becoming a Junior Crafter too. Hopefully, this helps you snag those skates quickly!
Become a Junior Crafter Walkthrough for Starsand Island
After talking to Zerine and accepting the “Become a Junior Crafter” quest on Starsand Island, you’ll need to craft a pair of rollerblades. Here’s a simple guide to help you through the process, step by step:
Step 1 – Make 2 Copper Sheets
To begin your journey to becoming a Junior Crafter, you need to create two Copper Sheets. You’ll need one Copper Ingot and one Copper for each sheet you make.
One Copper Ingot is made at the Furnace with x4 Copper and x1 Charcoal
Step 2 – Craft an Ore Analyzer
Okay, so once I’ve crafted two Copper Sheets, I need to combine those with eight pieces of Hardwood at the Worktable to make an Ore Analyzer. Then, I can just place the Analyzer down wherever I want – easy!
Step 3 – Collect 5 Common Ore Chunks

Now, head to Moonlit Forest and gather 5 Common Ore Chunks in Starsand Island. You’ll find these by mining ores like Copper, Tin, and Fluorite – collecting 12 of each of those will also help you with another quest. Just remember that Common Ore Chunks are found randomly, so you might not get one every time you mine.
Once you’ve found x5 Common Ore Chunks in the Moonlit Forest, head back to your Ore Analyzer.
Step 4 – Get 5 Ancient Gear Parts
Okay, so I’ve got five Common Ore Chunks from the forest, and now I need to head over to the Ore Analyzer. Basically, I’m hoping to turn those chunks into five Ancient Gear Parts. If I don’t get the full five, I’ll have to go back and grind for more ore – no biggie, just gotta keep analyzing until I do!
Discovering all the Gate of Life Gravemite locations on Starsand Island will unlock access to additional mining veins deeper within the Moonlit Forest.
Step 5 – Make 2 Bronze and 3 Radiant Core
The game might suggest crafting Copper now, but you actually need to gather 2 Bronze and 3 Radiant Cores. These are the items you’ll use to create the rollerblades, which is what this quest is all about.
One Bronze is made at the Furnace with x1 Charcoal, x1 Tin Ingot, and x1 Copper Ingot.
One Radiant Core is made at the Furnace with x1 Charcoal and x4 Fluorite.
Step 6 – Craft Rollerblades
You’re now ready to make the Verdant Breeze rollerblades! Here’s what you’ll need to gather and craft them at a Worktable:
- x2 Bronze
- x3 Radiant Core
- x5 Ancient Parts
After you finish making the rollerblades, return to Zerine and present them to her. This will finish the “Become a Junior Crafter” quest and give you access to new blueprints at Zerine’s General Store.
Become a Junior Crafter Rewards
Besides getting to keep the rollerblades you make and unlocking new crafting blueprints at Zerine’s General Store, completing the “Become a Junior Crafter” quest in Starsand Island also gives you these rewards:
- 1000 Gold

- 50 Zerine Affection
