How To Raise Tolerance In Metaphor: ReFantazio

How To Raise Tolerance In Metaphor: ReFantazio

As a seasoned adventurer and connoisseur of the fantastical realm of Euchronia, I can attest to the importance of cultivating Royal Virtues in Metaphor: ReFantazio. Among these virtues, Tolerance stands out as a crucial attribute in navigating the rough society of this enchanting world.

In the imaginative realm of ReFantazio, Royal Virtues represent the distinct traits that can mold a ruler into an effective and admired king. Contrary to popular belief, these virtues won’t determine the game’s conclusion or dictate the storyline, but they will contribute subtly when it comes to earning the respect of your followers as you strive to advance in rank.

In the game of Royal Virtue, some followers may only achieve higher ranks once they reach a specific level, which means if you wish to fully explore each follower’s story during a single playthrough, it’s crucial to maximize all your virtues. One such virtue that holds significance in Euchronia’s turbulent society is Tolerance. Here’s how you can improve its ranking:

How To Increase Tolerance In Metaphor: ReFantazio

Mustari / Masked People

The Tolerance virtue is marked on the map with an icon of a heart between two hands, with anything under that icon giving Tolerance. The main way to increase your Tolerance in Metaphor: ReFantazio is by listening to the lesser tribes of Euchronia. In every city, there will be a Masked Person, which is a member of the Mustari tribe who don’t often show their faces on the mainland.

Engaging with Mustari characters in various later cities won’t just offer fascinating insights into their tribe but also keep you entertained and earn you points for Tolerance. Since you can only encounter Mustari within the city that the narrative leads you, it’s best to converse with them there.

Spend Time With Heismay

During your challenging journey in the Gauntlet Runner, Heismay will eventually become part of your group and can typically be found for companionship as you travel. However, this interaction is only possible during your travels. Engaging with Heismay will increase your Tolerance level, and there’s a good chance it will lead to a combo encounter if you spend the evening together.

Read A Book & Quests

Once Heismay arrives at the gathering, he’ll also present the book titled “Bygone Days” which will find a spot on the Gauntlet Runner’s bookshelf. This book can be read three times to finish it, earning three points in Tolerance per reading, and if you answer Gallica’s questions correctly during these readings, you’ll receive an additional point. Upon completion of the book, you’ll also gain four more points of Tolerance.

Scattered throughout the game are several optional missions that provide players with Tolerance, but they aren’t numerous. To determine if a mission rewards Tolerance, players should examine the rewards for the quest before investing time to finish it. One such mission appears early in the game, where players must gather a Breath Of Fresh Air, an easily accessible source of early Tolerance.
